I don't know how anyone pays to stay at this hotel. Luckily we used points...First, we arrived at the hotel and requested a high floor with an outside view and extra foam pillows, and our room was not a high floor, had an indoor view, and didn't have any extra foam pillows. My requests were totally ignored.Second, the room was pretty terrible for a 4 star hotel. The shower got warm but not hot, we had one towel for two people, the paint was peeling in the bathroom, and the tv had Netlifx but not other smart tv apps.Third, parking is $18/day for self parking and the front desk was clueless about a free parking promo on the website and would not honor it. We won't be back.
Very clean rooms and updated lobby. Only compliant was the buffet was lacking. I would come back in the future. The front desk manager was also very friendly and helpful to find a restaurant nearby
I am Marriott Platinum member for many years! Marriott Dallas Downtown wins my five stars rating! The service, cleanness, M club are very nice! Especially thanks our waiter Lamar for excellent breakfast service! Keep it up Marriott! I am also diamond member of Hilton for many years. Hilton has no match when comparing to Marriott! We definitely will stay at Marriott Dallas Downtown next time when we attend Dallas symphony concert rather than Hall art hotel of Hilton.
Very nice. Great staff. Stayed at this location for a work event. The hotel was good, the food court in the connected Plaza of the Americas closed way to early. Lunch was a available but everything closed at 4:30 pm. The hotel has a nice restaurant though.
Pros- very nice hotel and everyone we interacted with at the front desk were very kind and extremely welcoming.Cons- valet and hotel housekeeping. Valet is not proactive and had bad attitudes. Housekeeping was not thorough which is concerning in the age of covid. However the good news is that they did send someone to correct the cleaning issue and gave us free breakfast and one free night of valet for the inconvenience.Overall I’d stay again. I’d just be sure to bring more Clorox wipes to wipe everything down myself.
We stayed at the Dallas downtown Marriott for the Dallas Safari Show. After midnight a group of young girls started having a party in the adjacent room complete with rap music and a lot of loud yelling. We could hear everything they said through the paper thin walls including the fact that they were drinking fireball whiskey. We tried twice to get the staff to do something about it and they refused. They ultimately told us that their managers policy was that if someone was being disruptive that the good customers could pack up in the middle of the and move to another room if available. They told us the manager was off sight and unavailable. If your looking for a quality business hotel keep looking.
Loved staying here. Reception was a little rude but nothing I couldn't handle. For the most part it was nice and a good stay. Bathroom was super clean
Great hotel. Excellent location for Deep Ellum, Fair Park, or downtown. DART stops are close. Nice rooms, awesome staff. Didn't get a room photo, but I got a pic of their super breakfast.
Great location and value. Very clean, comfortable and updated. Lighting in room was too dim and only 1 hook for towels. We were told verbally and in writing that housekeeping was available by request only, but they did clean the room which we weren't happy about because we don't like anyone entering our room and they took our towels and didn't leave enough replacements and no shower mat.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL IF YOU ARE A FEMALE TRAVELING ALONE! We had a terrifying encounter with our locks. Someone with access to the room had intentionally placed tape over the latch strike so the door would close and appear to be locked but could be opened by anyone at any time. The tape was clear (possibly packaging tape) and was cut to fit perfectly to the door making it almost impossible to see. We didn't notice it until the next morning. The conjoining room door was also left unlocked. We were told that the person who had access to our room prior was an employee with the hotel for over 10 years... but someone taped our door! The hotel staff including the director and GM were less than concerned with the obvious safety risk of one of their personnel setting up an easily accessible room for its guests. The general manager never even called us back throughout our entire stay to address the situation. Check your locks & travel safely.
