Love...LOve...LOVE this place.. Have been eating at this place for 20 years.. Aside from messing up my to-go order a couple of times (which they totally replaced my order for free the next time), I have no complaints. Their homemade ROOT BEER is a must have when you're there.

Love the homemade Root Beer, but disappointed that you can't get the Frosty Mug of Root Beer out in the carhop area. People keep stealing the Mugs.... Other than that, great hamburger, onion rings, tater tots, the chicken fried steak sandwich is good also. Great place to eat and have a Root beer float....

Great burger and chili cheese fries! Wish there were more places like this. If you are looking for health food this ain't it. But if you are looking for a great burger for reblooded Americans, this is it!!!Burgers are legit! Glad I found this place and will definitely be back.

Hey everyone wanna let you know about a little lunch spot that I went to today Dairy,-Ette and it’s basically at the corner of Oates Drive and Ferguson Road, Across the street from Bishop Lynch high school. This place is very old-school very basic they’re known for their burgers and their root beer. I personally have been coming here since the mid-70s and this place was well-established before then they’ve got an awning out front with 10 spaces that if you pull under that you can get car hop service. You can also park on the one side of the building and go in order your food bring it back to your vehicle. It’s basic, it’s simple and it’s good. today I just got a cheeseburger which was like 475 nice grilled meat patty diced onions shredded lettuce tomato pickles mustard and a slice of gooey American cheese. Once I ordered the burger was out in about six minutes I didn’t get the root beer today but if you’re a root beer fan they have some extremely good root beer and they used to bring it out in a nice icy- frosty mug. As you can see by the pictures the burger may not be the most beautiful burger you’ve ever seen they don’t try to trick it up with a lot of sauces and fried jalapeños or Crazy condiments or different sauces, you know things like that, which there’s nothing wrong with that but if you’re just in the mood for a solid basic burger a good burger you can see from the pictures this is the one and it needed no salt or pepper it was extremely good and fresh and it’s a full-size burger they’re not scaling down to make smaller burgers like some places are. Show my opinion any place that’s been there for 50+ years and hasn’t changed that much and still making it is worth the trip over there so if you’re over in East Dallas around lunchtime or dinner time pull in to Dairy-ette and give it a try you’ll love it you’ll be a fan and you’ll come back. Be safe out there!

They have inside seating and outside carhop service. This was my first time there. I simply did the carhop service but wishes I would have gone in for the ambience. Had a double cheeseburger and onion rings. Great food! Friendly and fast service.

If the fries and ice cream were half as good as the atmosphere and customer service, there would be a line out the door. The burgers are good. The chicken sandwhiches are equally as good. The home made rootbeer is the best part.

I enjoy their hamburgers and onions rings, so good to me., when I have a craving for a burger Dairy-Etty is my place to go to.

Step back into bygone days and have a delicious burger and hand-cut fries. Or, have a yummy hotdog and crispy, golden onion rings. Whatever you are craving will be prepared to order and brought out fresh and hot. Don't pass on the self-brewed root beer...it is not to be missed. You can dine in your car...1950s style, or you can step inside this quaint blast from the past and sit in a booth or at the counter. No matter where you sit, you really can't go wrong!

Fast, friendly service. Good burger and root beer float

Great, quick service (they come right up to your car). Really enjoyed the cheeseburger. Don't forget to try their house-made root beer. Really good value.
