Wow. Ive always struggled giving up seafood but this place has the texture the taste everything perfect with their vegan version. It satisfied every craving.The sauce is incredible with fresh dill. I was blown away thank you so much. I feel like this food would soothe the soul of you were hurting. It’s that good. I will be back and I will bring friends.
Hands down some of the best vegan food i have had in a good little minute. This is a locally owned restaurant where you can tell they take their time in their craft making sure that their customers get the best quality vegan food. When you first try to food you'll be in disbelief that is vegan. Unlike other vegan spots sometimes the food can lack flavored they are so far from it at Da Munchies. I will save the food will take a little longer but it's so worth the wait. The hours are not the greatest but keep in mind that this is local own restaurant with not that many staff members. This is definitely a recommend for those who want to try some vegan alternatives to your everyday American fast food!
I had the seafood boil and oxtail, I found both to be a little to salty for me. Not bad great texture but too salty. The best thing I had was the jackfruit nuggets definitely a winner the shrimp was too. The oxtails, jerk tender, gumbo rice was to salty. I would suggest asking to put the gravy on the side. I was fairly impressed with the creativity of the food, but it’s not for me. I would go back for the nuggets they are fire! The customer service is amazing kind woman with bright smile.
No lie, best vegan food I've ever had. I've got more food allergies than you even want to know but I had the mozzarella sticks and jackfruit tacos and they did not disappoint. No allergy problems, delicious food, and excellent service. If I lived in Dallas I would eat here every day. Do not miss this experience. Angie, I hope you stay in business a long, long time. A fellow foodie suggested this place and it did not disappoint! I tried the beef tips and rice with yams, the chicken Philly roll and a new sandwich that the owner debuted that day which was a fried cauliflower sandwich. All of it was perfect. Seasoned well, toasted well, prepared well lol all of the food was unbelievably tasty. I’m not even a vegan but I am trying to make some healthier choices and figured I could stay dedicated to the lifestyle if I found healthier options that still provided the soul food feel. 5 stars!
Everything is vegan and I love it. The hospitality was out of this world. We were greeted as soon as the door cracked open. Not only was the hospitality Amazing but the food was also. My family has had some bad experiences with take out vegan food and we were a little skeptical ,so we ordered a few items to taste. We were so amazed that the very next day we went back and got lunch & dinner .
Been wanting to try them out and chose to order pickup for my birthday today. Was really looking forward to having a great vegetarian dinner. We'd even called to check on the daiquiri flavors so we'd actually talked to them. No mention was made over the phone that they were out of any food items. Said we could be there in 20 minutes which was the time needed to make a fresh batch of drinks. Cool. Placed our order on their site and drove all the way down there. Stood in line for 15 minutes waiting to pick up our order, they went to check on it and then we were told that NOTHING of the food we ordered was available. So that means it hadn't even been started yet by the time we'd gotten there. The drive was enough time to prepare it. Plus all our contact info was on the order so they couldn't have seen prior to arriving to tell us nothing was available? And it's not like we ordered all the same items. I'm sorry but that's just bad business. We didn't bother ordering anything else. I'm sure the food is very good just wish we could've been able to try it. So disappointed. Heartbreaking.
Super authentic flavor! The flavors are the best I’ve tasted as a lifestyle vegan.I placed an online order and there was a possible forgivable mix up.I just want to let the chef know I appreciate her courtesy of making a simple mistake right.I’d definitely try again. Would have given 5 stars but they discontinued the jack fruit wings way back when. I think they called them by a different name. But finger licking good with the vegan ranch dressing ?
Very nice people! The woman at the front register helped me with my order. ? I review every restaurant I fair and support black owned business first and foremost. I’m new to the area and wanted to be fair and transparent for anyone traveling and looking to try different places as I do. In light of that, my food was just okay, in my opinion it was heavily greasy and not very flavorful. I won’t try again, but I absolutely enjoyed the customer service and the prices were great!
