Awesome spot with a lot of other places to eat at
There was a bit of 20 min a wait, but it was cool to watch them get fancy with the nitrogen to make our orders during the wait. We paid before they made our orders, so I was a but shocked when, after the entire wait, an employee said they had ran out of banana cream, only for another employee right behind him to say, "no, it's right here", and handed me my shake; it was a weird interaction for sure. I think my drink was fine, but nothing to write home about. One thing I was really appreciative about was their extensive allergen menu, which they had PHYSICALLY on the counter and that impressed me since most places just have it online. It's just that, though the nitrogen gimmick was fun to watch, I don't think the actual taste of the drink was worth the wait and money we paid, even though it looked like they used quality ingredients, but maybe I was fooled by appearances and what the menu promises.
please do not waste your time or money at this place. while the idea of nitro ice cream is cool they very obviously do not have a good system down. we got the first ice cream of three after about 25 minutes. Our second and third order were both cookies and cream and after waiting another 30 minutes i went to the counter to ask if they were still making it as people who were behind us had already gotten theirs, the girl rudely cut me off and said yes. After giving us the rest of our order my ice cream was completely melted with no apology for taking so long
First of the score for the ice cream itself is a4.i got the speculous. I was yummy. The 3 is for the following. Smells funny inside. I don't know if that's the nitrogen tank or what but it's off putting. 2nd it wasn't very clean in there. When we walked in there were NO customers. They should've been cleaning. The cashier was sitting at the register. The ice cream maker was eating ice cream she made for herself. This place is high priced for the amount of ice cream you get. I got the large. The size barely takes 2 full scoops of ice cream then they add toppings. That was $11.
This place is not stocked at all. Nothing in the coolers only a certain amount of toppings available. The waffle maker was broken so no waffle cones or cups. The only milk they had available was coconut milk and it has a strong coconut flavor. The cashier was very nice and sweet but I did not like the experience there.
The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the ice cream itself was very good! But the customer service, level of professionalism, and cleanliness of the restaurant was below fair. It was sad and disgusting and I will not be returning unless all of the staff has been retrained or is released and new staff is hired.
I was really excited about this one. I'm allergic to dairy, so any store that offers dairy free ice cream I am more than willing to try. This place was just so.... Weird? First off, it smelled super off. Like chemicals mixed with a bad septic tank. Maybe it had something to do with the cool nitrogen tank right next to the waiting area. It wasn't very clean, the screens were broken, most of the menu was out of stock. All that's fine, I get that ingredients are hard to come by. We spent $30 for a milk shake and an ice cream. Then we waited 30 minutes. Both items seemed really subpar. We ate outside to avoid the smell and that was nice. I had the cookie monster with cashew milk and it literally didn't taste like anything. The best part was the chunks of chips ahoy - and chips ahoy aren't even that good ? We left and honestly just felt like it was not worth the calories. Or the money. Or the time. Cool idea, but we won't be back.
5 stars because it’s cool having ice cream made with liquid nitrogen. 4 stars for the prices :( I totally understand why it’s pricey ice cream because it costs more electricity than usual to keep nitrogen at -321°F.I had the strawberry bond shake. It was thick and very cheesecake like.
This is definitely the pricier ice cream experience. With smaller portion sizing this does feel like you're not getting your bang for your buck, but I have to say that despite my desire for it to be a massive offering for roughly $7 starting, it was very delicious. The theatrics definitely add a cool aura to it as well, considering the fact that not only do you watch your ice cream literally get made from pretty much scratch before your eyes, but the infusion of nitrogen in the mixing bowls on the counter in front of you pour over ultra cold clouds of gas as the cream turns cold in seconds.I say all that to say, yes, it's definitely pricey ice cream, yes it is very cool to watch being made, and yeah, the small is pretty small, but it is decadent and I got the feeling that I savored more spoonfuls as we sat and played a few rounds of aggressive UNO.
UNIQUE ice cream experience! I definitely recommend checking out this place to witness the process of how they prepare the ice cream for you! The aesthetic is simple and sweet and the ice cream itself is delicious!! Check it out, especially if you have kids! They will be in awe checking out the ice cream being made!
