Excellent caesar salad and the chef is awesome

This is my favorite restaurant in all of Dallas! Not only is the staff super friendly and helpful, but the food is delicious and healthy as well!

Disappointing. The half portion salmon salad was mostly lettuce. It more than 2 oz. Salmon.won.t do that again!

Food: fresh, high quality, homemade from scratch and delicious. People: kind and professional; outstanding service. Atmosphere: friendly and nice, even if you have a seat at the “To-go” restaurant. Signature drink - passion fruit decaf tea - heavenly refreshing; even for a heavy coffee drinker, not-a-tea-fan like myself

Sorry to find City Cafe has closed. One of my favorite restaurants in Dallas. Love the people and the food. It’s a sad day.

We had not been to City Cafe in quite some time and honestly we had forgotten about it, but several weeks ago it came to mind and we made a reservation. We won't forget about it any more, the food, service and ambience was all excellent. We'll definitely be going back.

Polite quick valet, polite resturant staff Great decorations, great food They make really good drinks especially the martini

I searched for a New Years Eve restaurant that would have good food, service and feel upscale but not raucous & loud. Based on reviews that was what we expected. Nothing was horrible but it wasn’t special either. When we arrived we had to wait at the door for the hostess to seat another party. We had a reservation but she told us “they had a couple of open tables, see one you want?” Odd. And the owner was decanting wine right by the front door. Odd. There were balloons scattered around & party hats on the tables and a special menu with of course higher prices. Our server was friendly but very busy. The other staff helping her were honestly more professional & accommodating than the actual waitresses. The reviews had raced about service & the owners attention but evidently he was too busy decanting wine. We both ordered halibut. It was dry especially since the preparation said it was cooked in butter sauce. The vegetable accompaniments weren’t great but there were lots of capers in the sauce. The Oblivion Cake was a rich chocolate mousse cake with a truffle on top & candy crunch. We weren’t impressed. So we didn’t have a bad experience but it wasn’t great. Two hundred dollars later, we think we could have done better.

Best there is for food, service and ambiance—always!!!

Terrific food. Love the salads, filet and trout, warm cabbage salad, desserts. Friendly service - white table cloth nice with neighborhood familiarity.
