There are many bakeries in the Dallas Metropolitan area. This bakery was next to a restaurant that we ate at for lunch so we decided to try it. The bakery was nice. There is not a lot of seating so beware if you are with a large group and/or family. The desserts looked good. I chose an Oreo cheesecake and a coffee cake. They were good but the other bakeries that I have been to are better. The Oreo cheesecake didn't taste like the traditional cheesecakes that I have been accustomed to having. They were not overly sweet and plenty moist. The coffee cake which had a mild coffee flavor melts in your mouth.
The best cake ever!! My dad use to always tell me when he was a kid how he loved going to BELAY TEKLU PASTRY SHOP in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I am glad to learn that the family tradition is brought to my neighborhood in DFW (City Cafe is owned by Tes Belay, the son of the legendary Belay Teklu)! Yummy! My kids are addicted to this place!!

Long wait for simple scramble eggs and canned fava beans. Tried to seat us at a dirty table we asked for the waitress to wipe it, but I don't think she knew English... The food just didn't have adequate flavor for my taste buds, I'll try next door next time.
I always want to come after work but they close too early at 4:00 pm.
Food is good, I wouldn't call it the best in town, A/C needs fixing.Folks I tell you its humid inside .Truck drivers easy stop type of environment.But next door desta has a great vibe.
