Experts in home style food and service. Our waitress, April, was so very nice and helpful our entire meal. The environment is quiet and great for families and couples. Clean and well kept dining room with AMAZING food. 10/10 chicken fried steak and loved the rolls and cornbread for the table! Pleasantly surprised with our first time eating here and we will back ?

We were impressed with Chubby's home cooking restaurant as the food was excellent. The restaurant was very nice and provided cloth napkins with no table cloths. They have several homemade desserts to chose from as well. I had the chicken fried chicken meal which was perfectly breaded with homemade mashed potatoes and gravy and crispy okra for under $12. The waitstaff was on top of things, friendly and made us want for nothing. We definitely will be coming back to Chubby's in the future and would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We only went to Chubby's because Google Maps said eclectic menu. So glad that we did. Their menu choices are extensive. I got the spaghetti and meatballs while he got the chicken fried steak. Both were pretty good.And our server, April, was one of the best servers that we have had. Checking in on us just often enough. We will definitely be going back there when we are in Dallas.
I arrived at Chubby's at about 6:45 am there were a few other people already there. I was seated promptly, server took my order.Food took only a few minutes to be prepared and brought to my table. I immediately noticed that the food was all fresh and cooked properly., Plates,and eating utensils all clean, fresh water, fresh coffee, all in order. The food was tasty as it should be.I highly recommend trying Chubby's Restaurant for yourself.I will surely be back again myself.!!
I had breakfast for lunch and was happy. The portions and price made it a good value meal. Service was fast and good. I had the Chubby's special breakfast which is eggs, hashbrowns and bacon, sausage and ham. I asked for soft bacon, but got crisp bacon, otherwise everything was very good. It comes with pancakes, but I opted for biscuits and gravy. They have a large menu with a wide variety of comfort food options. I was there on a Sunday and there was a short waiting list, but it moved fast. There is plenty of off street parking.
My daughter and I ate at Chubby’s this afternoon. I would have to consider this restaurant as a place for “comfort” food. I had the Rueben (made right) with corn beef). Beer battered onion rings. My daughter had their chicken fry and french fries. The sandwich was great. I’m not partial to beer battered onion rings so they were okay. My daughter stated that the chicken fry was good but we shared the fries - the fries were fantastic. We will return since I’d like to try the Greek souvlaki next time.
Amazing breakfast, chicken is wonderful, fish is divine, steak fingers are yummy, you just aren't going to dislike anything.
Food was quite good. Mostly home style cuisine. They seemed to be understaffed. Waitress took our order promptly but a long wait til it arrived. Also long wait for the bill. Again not enough help. I can sympathize; they had job openings posted but it's difficult in this resignation era.
Normally, we love Chubby's. We go there about once a week, but tonight was not so good. The fries and onion rings were grease soaked, and the pork chops were mostly bone. Probably the worst food we've ever had there, other than their spaghetti and meatballs. That was a bad choice I made a while back. ? However, we will continue to go there. Maybe the cook just had an off night. The cashier said there cook is the same person, day and night. Maybe he's just exhausted. ☹️
Friendly staff, great service. Staff all wear masks, which is great during a pandemic. Family dining with comfort food. I love the Greek salad -- it's fresh, the chicken is tasty and it is served with warm pita and tatziki.
