This was by far one of the best restaurants I have been too. The daughter of the original owner waited on our table and was a blast. The food was excellent but the food was amazing. Thank you for a fabulous time.
service and food never disappoints.
The service was awesome! The food speaks for itself, great atmosphere. Thanks Fish for the recommendation! Patrick
Campisi's, known years ago as the Egyptian club, is a Dallas underworld point of history. Everyone from Frank Sinatra to Al Pacino ate here. In the early days there were rumored ties to Mafia, but today it's just a great place to disappear and have some good food and cocktails in a relaxed, dark atmosphere. I can vouch for all of the pizzas, and the meatball sandwich!
Nice red sauce here. Good lasagna. Large portion for Texas appetites. Raised the yum bar on pasta.
The best crab claws and pizza I've ever had!! The food was hot and fresh, customized to my liking.
I’ve always known about this place having lived in Dallas since 1981 off and on. And it had been many years since I had been here. And it is as good as I remember many moons ago. I’m not sure why they call it in “Egyptian“ restaurant, but that’s fine with me. The food is fantastic. The pizza is the way it should be, New York style, as my family is originally from that region and I’m half Italian myself. I’m struggling to remember my servers name, but she was awesome. I think it was Brandi. Bad with proper nouns lol. Anyhow, this place is a must go if you enjoy Italian style food. Peace and love to all of you. ..
Excellent service from Mark and enjoyable atmosphere! Otherwise, the food itself was pretty average Italian fare. Side salad was super tasty and our favorite thing we had, but the pizza, chicken parm, and angel hair pasta were just alright.
A Dallas Icon. Best Italian Restaurant in DFW.
I have eaten at the downtown location and thrilled to say I have now eaten at the original Campisi's off Mockingbird. It was very very good. I got the veal parmegiana with a side of pasta with the classic red sauce. And of course the house salad.is always delicious!
