The food has pretty good with a very authentic Italian flavor. The artichoke appetizer was amazing, a little salad is served as a side with the combo plate. My children and I ordered two combo plates. Which were great, however each combo was filled with one meat-ball, a portion of lasagna, “1” ravioli and a bunch of spaghetti under the meat tomato sauce. It would be better if in the plate’s presentation It would be easy to differentiate between the three pastas. Also if it could bring at least 3 raviolis and less spaghetti to balance it. :) BUT The portion was reasonable balance with the price, and with all the food mentioned above we were 4 people very satisfied. The place is great. The restaurant is located in the middle of downtown with a beautiful view to the Giant Eyeball monument. Our waitress was very nice, however the service needs improvement from ALL the waiters in general. Maybe working on becoming a little more friendly, polite and get trained to not be so obvious in their biased behavior to make of this a better place.
We were staying at the hotel across the street and walked over to order take-out. We apparently walked in the wrong door but no problem. They greeted us warmly and took us to the back room where we needed to order. The pizza was outstanding, and none was left. I'd definitely go back for other entrees when we return!
Campisi’s was founded by Sicilian immigrants in 1946. Today nine restaurants are located in the Dallas area. The Elm Street location is good with three dining rooms and a patio. The menu has several well-known Italian dishes, including pizzas and a number of house specialties. For what we paid the food was good without being great, and we also enjoyed some nice red wine. Service was okay. We will probably give it another try at a later time.
Phenomenal serviceI placed a (very last minute, large) phone order with Campisi's all the way from New York for Dallas colleagues. Eric helped me place the order and was extremely patient with the complicated requests. To the owners of Campisi's - Eric is such an asset to your business. I hope he is well taken care of.I only wish I had the opportunity to taste the delicious pizza here as I am all the way in NY but otherwise, such a good experience. Thanks Eric and Campisi's!
We were sat and no one came to our table for 10+ minutes. Someone finally came and told us they would be with us, but another 5 minutes passed and we were still ignored. The restaurant was not overly busy.
We were in town to see a concert, and right as we were getting seated for dinner I had a migraine aura come on. Our server, Marcus, was super kind and put our order in right away, got us to go boxes, etc, and the bill. We were able to leave with our dinner in just about fifteen minutes thanks to his helpfulness, so I could get back to our hotel. The food was delicious, and Marcus was great. We will be back next time we visit Dallas! Hopefully without a migraine:)
Great food! Great Service! Great history!!
Went here for lunch, surprisingly delicious food! The prices for the taste and portions are great, and the restaurant itself has an amazing atmosphere!
Came in on the latest snow day. Was so happy when they are opened! Thank you! However my husband and I ordered ONE large spinach chicken pizza. The waiter brought us TWO pizzas. We were confused but it was what we ordered. We began to eat and then idk who maybe the manager? Wanted to ask MY husband WHY WE TOOK the pizza?!?! IM SORRY. We have NEVER been here. We do not know what their portions are. INSTEAD of blaming the customer own up to your MISTAKES. Once he came he even told us well didn’t you all get bacon on yours?!? Well yes. But I THOUGHT they made the mistake. As THEY brought the pizza TO MY TABLE. It was the SAME pizza we ordered AND paid for… minus the add on of bacon that WE PAID FOR. && never got fixed.Horrible service. Never corrected and gave us the right order even AFTER owning up to them messing OUR order up.
My wife and I ate here on New Years Eve. The vibe inside this place is awesome. Romantic but laid back. Very friendly staff. We had our normal waiter and he was being shadowed by a female who was a new hire. The new hire was awesome! We really enjoyed the food as well. They were short staffed but you could tell they were trying their best to make it as good of an experience as possible for us
