I’ve come here for years and it’s always been a pleasant experience. I’ve had issues with ordering online, but always on point when I dine in.Tonight I had the vegan chili: very good, has a nice spice. I thought the cup was a very small serving but after finishing it I don’t think I could’ve finished the bowl, very hearty. I really like the local art they feature and rotate. Most of it is for sale.
I had high hopes for this place based on other people’s reviews, but we left highly disappointed. My potatoes were only half cooked and still very difficult to bite and chew, and a friend’s potatoes were the same. We got fried sweet potatoes to replace them, and they seemingly had no seasoning at all. So, I don’t plan on going back again. I’m sad because everything looked and smelled so good.If you go, maybe try the sweet things like crepes and pancakes. My friends liked those.
Absolutely disgusting food at 1AM. This is by far the worst restaurant I’ve ever eaten. Missing items and the French toast with fruit was so disgusting. There was 3 of us and all of us hated everything except the micro chicken sandwich and migas was ok.We ordered over $100 worth of food and ended up tossing it.Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague.DISGUSTING
The food was good, very close to excellent, my eggs were cooked to perfection (over medium), and I liked the get your own coffee gig, especially since the Waitress we had was horrible and barely spoke English. Now on the downside of things the building is disgusting inside, restroom was dirty and smelled bad, the floor looked nasty and OMG the ceiling was covered in dust and dirt hanging everywhere, I can only imagine what the kitchen looked like.
This restaurant is staple to SMU and is a popular hangout for many. They have a bottomless coffee bar and the food is to die for.
Fresh fruits, great coffee, real eggs ...what more could you ask for at breakfast. I had the fruit pancreepes with eggs and bacon as part of the classic breakfast. It was so delicious!!!! Sometimes you go out to eat and you think I can make this better at home. This was just like home made so you know you are eating real nutritious food.
I used to love this place. As a Dallas native this was our hang out in high school. It seems this place is gradually going way downhill. They seat everyone super close together even during this pandemic and it always smells like a bathroom. So today was funny. We were seated right by the dirty mop bucket which smelled as well. I apologized for having a sensitive nose and asked if we could sit at any of the other 15 empty tables away from the mop. The server did not respond and huffily took us to another table slapping our menus on the table and walking away to vent with another server about us. Lol! So we looked at each other, laughed and left. No time for that! Get it together Cafe Brazil! Do better!
Super cozy diner! Waitstaff is extremely friendly and helpful. The menu has something for everyone - meat lovers and plant based! They have a self-serve coffee bar option with a variety of coffees!! ??
Food and service were great!
This was our second time at Cafe Brazil & we really enjoy having brunch here. The food is good & the customer service is really good as well. One of the things we really like about it is the coffee bar. We love trying new coffee & they provide a lot of different varieties & for the most part, they're all pretty good.
