The gal at the order window is nice, but that is the only positive about the place. I hate feeling like I was ripped off, and after spending $100 here for less than mediocre barbecue, that is how I feel. The portions are so skimpy, and even though it is done by weight, I think they are underestimating the amount. The prime rib was dried out and overcooked; the burnt ends were pure fat with no meat. They are even skimpy with the sauce, giving 2 small cups for a pound of meat. The sides sound tasty on the menu, but did not taste fresh. No way would I ever return. There are so many better places for barbecue in the area.
I love their chopped brisket sandwiches. I had had ribs a while back. They were good. I ordered a rack of ribs and a chicken for July 4 weekend. The ribs were very spicy and filled with salt. The overuse of salt was ridiculous. I had to throw the ribs away. The chicken was wonderful. Not too spicy and not too salty. A little expensive for half a chicken!
Some of the best BBQ ever had. Everything that was ordered, including the brisket, boudin, Mac n cheese, beans, chicken wings and cornbread were tasty and of top notch chef quality. Would recommend Blu’s Barbeque to everyone!
Mr. Charles is so friendly & personable. He really understands customer service. The food is delicious!! And the prices are reasonable. Swing by Baku’s on Preston Rd. & grab some good old barbecue!
Pretty damn good I must say. The wait was a bit on the long side but that was okay. The food was worth it. I would reccomend ordering online so that way you can actually see a menu and have better options and get access to a larger variety of choices. 10/10 on taste and how full it made me. 7/10 on the wait and the lack of menu (A mural on the wall ain't gonna cut it.) and 5/5 for the service, the gentleman at the window was very polite.
The last two times I've ordered food to go are the last two times I eat there. Its not inedible, but barely. The meat is over seasoned and either really dry or mainly fat. The order and pick up window are one in the same and nestled in this kind of confined space which at any given time leaves 5 or 6 confused customers asking each other if they are in line and wondering how they will receive their food. Its awkward and a little unsettling. This place has lost the underdog -hometown kid makes it big- storyline that added to the legend it was quickly becoming. And it was well deserved, the brisket used to be the best around. Now it feels like a passionless shell of itself. I hope the owner takes a moment to reflect on this amazing thing he's built and how its slipping away.
Great BBQ with an enormous menu. They have different specials for different days of the week and really affordable. The staff is really nice too and the bar across the parking lot also have a snow-cone truck for the summer where you can get alcoholic and non-alcoholic snow-cones.
Terrible food and food quality. Zero attention to detail. Awful service. Bad attitudes.
Way overpriced. $14.00 for two slices of brisket and $8.00 for Mac & Cheese. Oak’d is better food and better prices.
