Been buying em at Tom Thumb and man they are good
Have been there several times when I worked in the area and now you can get them prepackaged in your grocers deli.Appreciate it they are still good and fresh soft bread as usual.
No frills, fresh and very tasty sandwiches at a very reasonable price. Not a huge variety, but what they do they sure do well.

Now that the larger Antones of Houston has encroached on the once benign territory held for, jeez, 40+ years at the same location on Harry Hines by Antoines, making a similar menu of sandwiches, there's bound to be some billable hours generated once the salami hits the slicer. Support Antoines. They're Dallas bred, they're terrific citizens, and they sell a much better sandwich.
Ive gone there since i was a child. I use to live on the next street, same people have been working there, they are friendly and remember faces. I dont live near by anymore but every chance i get i stop by. Subway has nothing on these subs, these are truly the best. A no frills hole in wall with great subs. If you are a Houston native this is the same great subs but not a place to meetup with friends.
My place
Noticed this near my office on my way home from work yesterday, and decided to check it out. This place isn’t fancy by any means but it’s cheap, fast, and the owner is so nice. I will be coming back here MANY times in the future. I can’t believe I never noticed this place sooner. Their lunch special is only $6.43 including tax, which comes with chips and a drink. SUPPORT LOCAL.
