Hadn't been back to this place in years but it didn't disappoint. Super crowded on a Saturday at 4pm but the servers still managed to take care of us. We didn't get the normal Hot dog or burger. It was nice to give some other foods a try. The kid wanted to start with fried cheese sticks. He also ordered the Mama's Grilled Cheese with fries. Hubby ordered the Chicken fried steak sandwich with fries. I ordered 2 appetizers, mild 10 count wings & onion rings. We all enjoyed our food. Note, the onion rings have the soft type bater so not crunchy. But they were cooked enough & onion was all soft.
Just average American place.. i am not so sure what’s so special or hype of this place. Tho their tater tots was DELICIOUS!! I would comeback just for that lol Giving 4 stars because of it. Got angry dog and it was meh. and other two got burger and tuna? burger and both was good average they said.
Went to Dallas to purchase a car and had lunch while there and decided to eat at the Angry Dog. It was great the food was great. The service top notch. Our server Vincent was very attentive and on point. He made the right recommendations knew his menu. Gave us some history of the place and was just down right awesome. Very cool cat. They have a reserved section for military and first responders. It was great. They have a discount also for military and first responders. My roommate David and I both ordered the Big Nate. I had the onion rings (which I highly recommend) and David got the fries. By far the best burger I've had in my life. It come with avocado ? tomato ? lettuce bacon ? red onion cheese ? a special hot sauce it also had chorizo on it. Delicious!!!!! We had chips and salsa which and cheese which came with a generous portion of sour cream and guacamole ? AMAZING. Can't wait to go back. By far my favorite spot to go to in Dallas. Somewhat of a little dive bar in eccentric Deep Ellum. Fast service, good selection of food. Drinks were good. Food was average. Would stop again for lunch or light fare.
Had heard about it, had to try it. Wings are super but the onion are what that is. Next time I'll have to try the best burger around as it's call in this place. Good place to hang out with friends and family. Mr Bill is the best restaurant critic I know . He is the one that led me to this awesome place

Quirky. Fun Filled. Perfectly Suited for Big Groups and Small Gatherings. Good People Having Fun. Simple and Unpretentious. A delight among the crowded scene in the area. Snag a beer here it's worth a shot.
