Cool place. Plenty of beer stops. Even when crowded, not much of a wait time for the restroom (including women’s). Sound throughout. I’m short, so I couldn’t see much, even on balcony. Had to hold my phone up for pics. There is a nice lounge upstairs (VIP?) that was cool & comfortable with sound and tv’s to see the show. Everyone was nice, staff & patrons alike.Down was a hell of a show! Even ran into old friends.
Nestled in the crossroads of 35E and Loop 12 sits Amplified Live, my favorite venue for live performances in the Metroplex. I recently took in a concert which showcased the intimate environs of their inside stage. Larger acts are usually on the outside stage but due to adverse weather conditions, the show was held inside. One feature I love about Amplified is the sound quality. First, they don't try to deafen you there. No doubt it's loud but not too loud. Second, the staff are friendly and professional. I felt safe the whole time, even when the crowd got rowdy and a mosh pit started. I took a break towards the back and while seated a woman came by and asked me if she could get me anything to drink. I answered that I would like a cola and she brought me a Coke. When I tried to pay for it, she refused to take it. I offered her a tip and that's when she revealed that she was the manager and couldn't take gratuity. It was then that I knew Amplified Live is more than a live venue, it's an experience.
This was hands down the worst concert experience of my life. My husband and I paid extra for V.I.P. tickets for a show two years ago. Due to Covid, it was postponed until last weekend. (Frustrating, but understandable.)By the time we actually got to see the concert though, two of the three bands we paid to see weren't on the list, and had been replaced. We were at least notified about that. We were NOT notified about the fact that the venue itself had changed. We bought tickets for The Gas Monkey, a large venue, and VIP seating, with a table, chairs, private bar and a GREAT VIEW.What we got was a sports bar, converted into a music venue with NO SEATING ANYWHERE, no tables in the VIP section, a very limited bar with over priced canned beer. (Draft was downstairs only.) And literally NO VIEW. My husband is 6'5 and even he couldn't see the stage. The venue must be aware of the viewing issue, as the concert was being streamed on tiny televisions inside the bar area. There were FAR too many people there also. There is no way that could have been up to safety standards in case of a fire.We will NEVER go see another concert there, and we were not the only ones complaining.
My wife and I visited for the first time last night to see Tech N9ne. Great show. We got there early and ate. She had the braised beef and I had the blues burger. Both were good but the braised beef was better. We had a new server who was training so we'll cut her some slack and not knock anything off for the couple little hiccups. Looking forward to the next show we want to see there. Definitely a cool experience overall.
Great venue! We drove 10 hrs from KC, MO to get here to see Tommy Vext, Struggle Jennings, Caitlynne Curtis, and A Killer's Confession. Concert was amazing! We were in the very front. The security staff were very nice and helpful and good with our 6 year old. It was kind of rainy but the show went on. They set up chairs inside for people to stay dry but we went outside to the very front. Our 6 year old got drum sticks from all 3 bands. Tommy Vext had him help sing "Zombie". And he got to go on stage for a couple songs with Struggle and Caitlynne. He said it was the best night of his life. We would definitely come back.
I really like this venue and it’s not only lively outside crowd for the stage area, nice acoustics and sound with great stage lighting and effects but the inside is very chill with two bars and the food is good. The fountains in the water are really pretty as well. Only issue is the balcony which apparently required a special ticket to view the stage. Came for Silverstein and The Plot in You and it was incredible!! Phenomenal experience!
All of the good reviews are from when they were Gas Monkey, can’t wait until the new one opens. Security is seriously unnecessarily strict. They want your money and care little about if you have a good time or not
Originally came looking for Gas Monkey bit was not disappointed with Amplified ?? the host/waitress was very friendly and hopeful. Her recommendations were on point from the food to the drinks. The bake potato stuffed with brisket was exceptional especially once I added stuff jalapeno sausage to it ? finished it off with there fried banana split ???
The service is good and the food is delicious. The Cesar dressing is So Good!!!? The brisket is ok but the BarBQ Sauce is Good. The Turkey was good. The fries are delicious! The peace tea is lit! Also This is Not GAS MONKEY AND IS NO WAY AFFILIATED.
We had a great time at the Gas Monkey Bar and Grill/Amplified! Unleash the Archers threw a spectacular show.Drinks and food were decently priced with ample portions. We would recommend the Fried Mac and Cheese, Texas Style Loaded Fries, and Build Your Own Burger. If you can, get the VIP tickets for the balcony. It was so worth it!
