First things, first. I would have given this property a "5" rating, but it had to be a "4" because they still aren't offering housekeeping daily. I have spent 80+ nights this year with Marriott and the Covid excuses for not offering daily cleaning is getting very old (somehow they still offer it daily at the luxury properties). Having said that, aside from housekeeping, this hotel is absolutely wonderful! AC properties are great, in that they are super modern and are completely enveloped in that European minimalism. This hotel really nails with it with a buzzing, stylish lobby / bar area, with great Euro chill music. The staff were very welcoming. They recognized my status and made me feel like a valued guest. Their kiosk area in the lobby was out of water and the woman who was working reception was kind enough to give me her own personal bottle of water. I was blown away by how kind that was. There was also a friendly gentleman who escorted me to the gym. This was luxury level service at a limited service hotel. I was impressed from that moment. The entire hotel from the lobby to the hallways to the rooms are spotless and incredibly well-maintained. My room felt like a sanctuary, with a large bathroom, comfy bed and decent amenities. Also impressive is the wonderful gym. The hotel is located near the Galleria mall and with very easy access to the freeway. I am a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium, and have stayed hundreds of times in this area at the Westin, Le Meridien, Sheraton, Renaissance, but this AC is my new go-to property. It truly feels like a home-away-from-home. But please bring back housekeeping!
Awesome! I chose this property for my wedding party. It should be noted that there is another AC Hotel (downtown Dallas) and DO NOT confuse them. This property is hands down better. The Gallaria is in walking distance,just a block away! So many dinning options and central to everything. My wedding stay was amazing. We booked a room at the Ritz Carlton and I'm not just saying this but the AC hotel by far exceeded them. We were able to do an impromptu cook-out (the pool and grill area are amazing) and the staff was more than helpful, they went above and beyond. Annalise, was our coordinator and point of contact. She was wonderful and amazing to work with.. sooooooo helpful. She even gave me her cell number for contact! I mean really!! Who does that! Thank you Marriott and thank you Annalise!! You have a customer for life.
I stopped here on my way from New Orleans to Albuquerque and the staff was so incredibly helpful and friendly, especially Devon the bartender. I felt so safe here as a solo female traveler that I stayed there again in my way back to New Orleans. This will be my first choice in the Dallas area from now on.
Sierra was the best she is excellent also very caring and nice, Sierra deserves a promotion and a raise... it is very pleasant to have a wonderful person like Sierra.. They should take some notes from Sierra
My stay was great up until the very end. I had all of my things loaded into the car and I'm just doing a final sweep of the room before I leave. (Check out is at 12pm) At 11:55am I get a knock on the door from a woman asking if I was checking out now. I said yea I'm just finishing up getting my things, check out is 12:00 right? She scoffed and gave me a bit of an attitude and indicated on her watch that I had 5 minutes. I said perfect, enough time to get my things. And she wondered of the bother another guest I'm sure. I realize you probably want to get started turning over the room and it was almost 12, but I paid enough at your hotel for you to let me have those 5 minutes to do a final sweep of the room for, I don't know, a charger or something I could have forgotten. Really not that hospitable. Don't worry, I was out of the room by 12, but probably won't be back
AC provides amazing guest service and hotel rooms. The lobby and bar is a great spot for co-working, networking or simply having a glass of wine. The hotel provides live music on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from local artists. The menu @ the bar is extensive and definitely something for everyone. Call the sales team to help book your next group of rooms and meeting space
I love the ac marriott due to the incredible service across the board. The bartenders Lizzy and Josh take care of you as if you are their friends. The only reason that the review was only 3 stars was the awful breakfast, which is not consistent with the typical ac marriott that im used to.
The hotel is beautiful, clean bright rooms. We got there a bit late and there were NO eating possibilities nearby, people running to Target before 10 PM so get some snacks and hang out at the bar Due to Corona, the hotel only offers Housekeeping for stays OVER 5 days. I understand, but it would be great if they at least clean the trash and maybe change towels. Because of this, the hallways are filled with trash from the guests.
I checked in for a 3 night stay as a solo traveler. The lobby is nice, staff professional. The hotel is in an okay location, though it's a little hood for my personal taste. I checked into my room and did a routine check of the bed and bathroom. There was hair everywhere. I mean hair was on pillow cases, the bedspread, there was flecks of red nail polish on the sink, body hair in the shower and hair wrapped around the shower drain. The tile floors had hair and hadn't appeared to be mopped recently. The front desk was nice enough to assign us to another room which was worse than the first. I went to wash my hands and there was hair in the hand towel. There was weave hair on the full size towels hanging in the shower and yet again, body hair on the shower floor. I'm perplexed by the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence status. It can't be for cleanliness. I ended up canceling my stay at this hotel and heading up north to Plano. This hotel has such good potential, however, given that we're in a pandemic, housekeeping management should employee much more stringent quality assurance practices. Shame of them for the lax cleaning procedures.
Great location always super clean just beware of the weekends people always hanging out in the lobby all night and sitting in parked cars in the garage. Had to go out to my car a couple of times after 10 o’clock actually felt unsafe
