A&J Bakery is amazing! I called around Dallas to try to find custom Petit Fours... Basically everyone told me it couldn't be done... I called A&J Bakery and they said NO problem! We can do it! The flavor was awesome and everyone talked about how beautiful these were!
This is absolutely the worst place ever. I stopped in today purchased a dozen cake balls and 2 cupcakes. My total was $42.00, when I tell you this was the nastiest cakes I have ever had. It seems as if they items had been setting for weeks. The icing was hard the cake was hard it was disgusting. I was so very disappointed. I am all for small business but no way never again do not waste your money.
Singularly the worst cake I’ve ever had. The flowers and writing look like something my child could have done, and the colors were awful. I accepted the cake with the hope that it would taste amazing but should have known better. I asked for a raspberry filling - the cake tastes like a boxed cake where they slathered a bottle of raspberry jam in the middle. 1st red flag was when I walked in and saw their display cakes. One would expect a company to put out their most amazing designs for display cakes but the display cakes were also horrific. Save yourself the heartache you’ll be better off ordering a cake from Walmart.
5000 stars. This bakery makes the BEST cakes in Dallas. Period. I have been using this bakery for birthday cakes for over a decade. Unsurpassed moist and tender cakes every time. It’s an “old Dallas”classic.
Friendly bakery store. The store decor is underwhelming, but their red velvet cake is delicious! Probably the best that I've had.

I used A&J for my wedding cake and had a great experience. I’m really particular about cake because I love it so much, so had visited several bakeries before finding one that had the right flavor and texture. They delivered when they said they would. I can’t speak to any decorating, as we ordered it plainly iced, but we had people ask where we got it, so I think it was a success!
Best Coconut Cake I’ve ever had. She makes wonderful cakes and cupcakes. I’ve enjoyed her baking since the late 1990s when she was located in downtown Dallas. I was so thrilled to find her again a few years ago. She is a hard worker and the best baker I know.
A&J puts something special in all their products. I first tried their cake at a restaurant called Hunkey’s in Bishop Arts while on a date with my soon to be wife. This cake became a tradition for us every week. We lived close to Hunkey’s so we would over and get HIGh on this cake...lol.
The cake was great! Great taste, made exactly on time, and looked so cute! Everyone loved it!
