ThIs is the best fried catfish and shrimp ? you will ever eat. I live at least 1 hr away and it's worth the drive every time and I come often. Try it for yourself, lmk what you think, and tag me in your post!I think you're gonna love ❤️ it.
Had a lovely meal and sadly no room for dessert as was too full from so much food.its not cheap by any means. But the caliber of food is equal with other fine dining establishments. The service was good too. This is a great place for special occasions!
This was my first experience with this restaurant. When I arrived sat in the bar area must say the gin drinks were great. Ordered the oysters which were fantastic and had wonderful service from the bartender. After my girlfriend arrived we were seated at a table and from there things went to hell. The waiter was out in left field we hardly ever saw him plus he got our order wrong. So I had some fish dish which was not what I ordered but when in Rome... Now I am not that fussy on the food, but I also dont expect my fish to be as dry as the Mojave desert which it was and for the price I was really floored. Luckily my girlfriend's fried shrimp was decent thankfully she let me have a couple. But for service the waiter was just totally non attentive never checked on us or asked if we wanted any drinks. So two stars for poor wait service and very dry fish. Again, the bartender was awesome he gets 5 stars.
This place has the best fried seafood in the area, hands down. The service is great and the prices are way better than that big chain, Pappa, and you can contribute to local owners. Fried catfish, oysters, shrimp and stuffed crab are the best. Get the hush puppies also, tasty.Update, 5-1-22.They no longer have the stuffed Crab but the fried fish, shrimp and oysters are still fantastic. You should try this place out, you will not be disappointed.
The fried shrimp were large and delicious. The salad was fresh. The veggies were cooked just right & the dirty rice was moist and seasoned well. The best part was the speedy and excellent service we received. My son ordered gumbo and he liked it, but would’ve wanted more shrimp in it. Will be going back!
We really enjoyed the food and the service was superb. My bride had the bacon wrapped shrimp and coleslaw and fried okra. I had the grilled catfish and coleslaw. Sam's makes their own slaw and their own cocktail sauce. Sam's is one of gems you find and really like! Yummy yummy!
What nice restaurant. But please remember not is BYOB . So bring your beer and wine to drink
Family went to Sam’s Seafood & Steak after church. Atmosphere was great, waitstaff was friendly, and the food…..Oh my goodness! We started off with seafood gumbo. Delish to the last drop! We both ordered the fish and shrimp, one with oysters and one without (hamburger for the little man). The fish was so juicy and crunchy the shrimp were delightfully fresh with a light crunchiness. We all enjoyed our meal. The owner was super cool and on point. Thanks Eric for a great experience!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had the catfish, bacon wrapped shrimp(100% clean ), calamari, stuffed salmon, grilled vegetables, dirty rice, the portions were large and everything was perfectly cooked.
First time trying this place. Ordered to go for my hubby's birthday. He really enjoyed his steak & the dirty rice. My fried shrimp was ok, cooked well but needing seasoning. The hushpuppies and fried okra are not worth the upcharge. Plenty of them but bland. Also we were shorted a salad.
