It took 20 minutes for counter service (for two)....the pre-orders and pick ups were their priority, not the folks at the counter. I liked the food, but it was not worth that wait. It would have gotten 5 stars if not for the priority towards food pick up... there needs to be better organization, or just close the doors and allow for drive up only if you don't have enough help.

Really poor service. Expect to wait for your order for 45 minutes. When at home my order was missing an item and chicken was small, dry, and overcooked. $32 for 8 pieces but only half were edible. Never going back there.
Place and quality has deteriorated significantly after they re-opened. No personal going around cleaning tables, trash cans are overflowing so people leave their trays with trash all around. Food quality is also bad. My cole slow was sour (like almost going bad), the chicken was gummy, and my wife found a GREEN FLY in her salad bowl. Do I need to tell more? Muy mal, Pollo Loco!!!
Yup, same dude that people be complaining about shoving the food at you served me in drive through. He’s the main grill guy and does the cutting. He’s been there the longest because I’ve seen all the staff change and he hasn’t. I’ve been here enough times to know they absolutely don’t care about customers. Went through today, asked for extra sauce, he “acted” like he put in extra sauce then started to make fun of me with the others. You know they are talking about you when they saw me looking at them while hearing the whole thing and chuckle. He thought I drove out but I stayed. Heard everything. All the other employees laughing with him. Yeahhh this place, avoid it ppl. Not worth the abuse.
My review is very similar to others, every once a while I get fast, friendly service and the food quality is usually top notch and most of the time the workers there are pleasant however there are times like tonight where I arrived at the drive-through during business hours and the business is flat out closed with no sign alerting customers who were just waiting there or no intercom to come on to let guests know that they are closed. This business has closed before posted closing hours several times and there are no signs anywhere posted.I usually go to the Pollo Locos on Highway 6 as I never have issues with the quality of their food and their customer service is always top notch, this one happens to be right by my house so it's most convenient but I'm usually hesitant to go there for several reasons...
This was our first and last experience with El Pollo Loco. The person that took the drive thru order was patient and wonderful. The person handling the face to face food delivery was extremely unkind and pushed the food at us impatiently without saying a word. We did get a final “thank you”, and that was all.I ordered a tostada that was supposed to come with dressing and it was not on it and not on the side either. The rice was mostly clumped together and overcooked like it was scraped from the bottom of whatever it’s stored in. The chicken was charred far too much to be palatable for me and was very dry.The street tacos were much the same with the chicken being too dry. We ordered churros as well, hoping to end a dismal experience with something sweet, only to be disappointed that they are less like churros and more like a skinny donut that has cinnamon in the batter. They are not prepared the way we expected and really lacking flavor overall.It just didn’t hit the spot for us and we will not be back.
Have seen this restaurant many times and really wanted to try it. The pictures looked so enticing. I should have known they were only pictures. We ordered 2 different salads that were to have double chicken. It didn’t matter that they did not come as advertised, the chicken was so dry and had bones and gristle in it. The salad had chunks of the core in it.we ordered queso and chips and quacamole and chips and got small versions of the regular order with less than half a bag of chips. Chips that are fried in house only have to go in the fryer for seconds not a minute. This is the first time I’ve just thrown chips out from a restaurant. This was not what I expected at all. We won’t be going back.
This pollo loco has no customer service, rude and asked for a cup of water and the guy just handed me a cup of ice without saying anything no thank you, have a nice day, just a frown on the face. Didn’t even ask if we needed anything else, will no longer come here again. It’s not the first time where they are rude here.
