This place is so delicious and more people need to stop by and give them business!They have the best breakfast burritos. Delicious homemade tortillas. For a healthy option I love to get the huevos y nopales with onions and other veggies and leave off the rice and beans. Sooo delicious I could eat it every day❤️.Also the best chips. So addicting.
I had a bad experience visiting this place I do not recommend it, the rice wasn't cooked and I waited for a long time for my food ??
Family owned spot with friendly folks and the best tortillas I’ve ever bought. Why would you EVER go to HEB for tortillas!?!I originally came for the INCREDIBLE fresh tortillas but now I keep coming back for the barbacoa burritos and bags of tortilla chips too! Until I get the stoke to make tortillas from scratch every day, I’ll be going here once a week to buy a bag.
Me and my husband went there and got two different burritos mine was a bacon egg and potato and I got severe food poisoning from it my husband his wasn't as bad when I called the owner at first she seemed concerned but then she said that it's not them it was us. She was just giving me excuses of how it was not them and I was so nice and explaining to her that I just wanted them to know what happened and she was very defensive. For food that's so good that could make you feel so bad I never thought the owners would be so disregardful of their consumers and how their food made them sick

Tortilleria Matehula is a family run business and provides some of the best Mexican cuisine I’ve ever tasted. I was on a road trip and decided to stop to eat, I ordered 4 tacos (Carnitas, Carne Asada, Chorizo and Al Pastor), rice and chips & salsa. My entire order was phenomenal. The prices are more affordable than a fast food meal, and the flavors are unmatched if you like Mexican Food.The restaurant portion is currently closed due to lack staff since the pandemic, so the orders are takeout only, but the order does not take very long and the food is well worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Passing through town, we decided to check them out. Though closed to "dining in" and a lack of enthusiasm from the older couple running the place, I have to give 5 stars. The food was so delicious I wouldn't mind circumventing Dallas again, just to stop by this out of the way diamond in the rough. The breakfast street tacos were stuffed and delicious! And a big thumbs up to the salsa verde and even the homemade chips and dipping salsa were superb and perfectly balanced!Thank you for an authentic yummy culinary experience.
Their soup is the goal! Although their rice n beans tasted like can food. But the soup I can sip all day long!
