I don't normally complain but...Whataburger at 4126 S staples, Charged me for someone else's order after waiting in line for 20 mins. Than had the nerve to ask me to pay for mine too. Said my refund would be processed after 5-7 days. So you're telling me I'm about to get charged 30 dollars for chicken strips right now?? Nah yall should do better at your job, there's literally 5 of yall at the window.
Absolutely inept management and employees working the morning of Saturday, May 28, 2022 at about 10:30am. Both drive-thru lanes were open but, evidently, they didn't have anyone available to collect payment/bring out orders for the 2nd drive-thru lane. Instead, after you placed your order (and not before when you could have gotten out of line) they told you to merge into the first lane. Well, you know how people just love to let others merge into their lane when driving (sarcasm intended) so you can imagine how well that went over in a drive-thru lane. Not one car in the first lane would let anyone merge in. There were two trucks in front me trying to merge but with no luck. From my car I called the store to ask if they could send someone out to at least help us merge in but the man who answered said, no, they didn't have anyone, that they were just too busy to spare anyone. I told him they should at least send someone out to close off the 2nd lane to prevent more cars from backing up the lane but, again no, they were just too busy to spare anyone. Too busy to spare someone for what would have taken a minute or two to come close off the lane and help those of us stuck to merge in? Finally the two trucks in front of me just drove off and I did the same once the lane was clear. It was a good thing they had not collected our payment up front. So, they will have just wasted all of the food that we had ordered and lost those sales. Avoid this location at all costs, especially the drive-thru. The inept manager working this morning should be demoted and written up. They are obviously incapable of critical thinking and planning skills and should be in no position of leadership or store management.
I went there this morning got a breakfast on the bun and when I tell u the sausage was as if they had heated it up 3days ago it was hard as a rock and rubbery the egg was over cooked it looked as though it had been prepared in the microwave. And I also got my husband a burger ? with beacon the beacon was old it had no cow to it when he looked at it it looked like it had mold or something this is wrong ? to serve people this type of mess this store needs more training and people that care about what they serve to there CUSTOMERS PLEASE..
Arrived around 4 a.m. in the morning before work on a Wednesday. No one in line oh, but I spent 10 minutes waiting for food. The attendant apologized when he brought my food has he knew he wasn't prepared. I ordered a number 20, Taquito with sausage a drink and hash browns. Hash browns were crispy but the Taquito is salty. They drink was a Diet Coke and it was carbonated well. I also ordered a small Whataburger jr. With cheese. I haven't tried it. Saving that for later. All in all about $10 for the meal.
Somehow, drive thru is quicker than curbside here.... puzzling... happened 2 times where I set in curbside space and watch cars come and go. Once even had to call the store and ask where my order was.
Stranded car just left in the driveway and apparently don't know the difference between spicy and fancy
Can never go wrong with the original Whataburger in all of Texas. Great service and burgers/onion rings always hit the darn spot. A local institution and one that Corpus is very proud of.
First time in this location. Breakfast burger was great. Staff was very friendly. Rainy mid morning. Since Corpus Christi was original location for Whataburger, had to go find the replica store as well.
I tried the spicy chicken Ceasars salad very disappointed
Whataburger is a Texas classic. To eat here in the city it was founded in was also a special treat. Everything you've come to expect from Whataburger, great service and great burgers. What more can you ask for?
