So the only reason I gave this place three stars is because the crème brûlée was nine 9 of 10! Service was not very good, the peanut dipping sauce for the spring rolls was very bland, The half roasted chicken I had was super dry and they had deep fried it rather than roasting it like they said, but the Moscow Mule‘s were also good. Would not recommend except for for dessert.
The Chilean seabass was amazing. The sauce was divine, and the ambiance topped off the experience. I will definitely be back and recommend to anyone coming to town.
Eeh. I was recommended to this place because they said the food was amazing. As a Vietnamese person who traveled to major cities every month, this restaurant is very subpar. For the price of $33 for shaken beef, it doesn't even taste like shaken beef but more like Chinese stir fry. The beef was overcooked, too much sauce and not serve with the right veggies. For the price of $9 for two roll of veggies spring roll, it is bad. Seriously stir fry the veggies and wrap it? I have never had Veggies spring roll like that before. The only good thing that saved this restaurant is the amazing customer service. They did a great job. Other than that, this vietnamese restaurant is not authentic vietnamese and if they are really competing with other vietnamese restaurants like one in Seattle, San Jose and even Houston (le Colonial), this place can not compare.
I have been in town 2 weeks. Attended two events held at this restaurant. They forgot my entree both times. No apology just an "oh we will get it to you." Both times food arrived over 40 minutes after all others were finished dining and event was over. I can't say the food is bad because I have not tried it. Both occasions it was so late I told them to just keep it.
Fortunately our first time dining there was made pleasurable due to a new waitress named Sally.Didn't realize there was a dress code(which there isn't!), but waited literally 10 minutes for our drink order and another 5 for a waitress to finally acknowledge us. (total wait 15 minutes)Sally approached us and asked if we had been waited on and told her no, and she apologized sincerely and asked for our drink order and continued to say she was fairly new and would do her best to help us, as she wasn't sure if that was her table. Again, she sincerely apologized and checked up on us quite frequently.Needless to say we did finally get to eat and the food was delicious!Once again, she turned a sour beginning into a good evening with great food. While every other wait person did laps around us, Sally had the sense of mind to ask if we had been taken care of.She was rewarded very generously.Let this be a lesson to all wait people out there, Do Not judge a book by its cover, EVER! Thank you Sally ?
The staff here is great but the food was not worth what they charge. As far as Vietnamese go. I’d say this was more like high class Chinese food. Never seen Kung Pao on a Vietnamese menu until here. They were super excited about the tempura broccoli which was largely just fried broccoli and nothing special and way over priced. The meal wasn’t bad. But I wouldn’t call it Vietnamese at all.
Maybe best restaurant in Corpus. Great fish. Even though it’s an Asian restaurant it’s more an upscale seafood restaurant. My wife and I have been several times including for an anniversary. The Chilean sea bass is so good we have it every time we go.
My favorite restaurant in the whole Corpus area! Amazing appetizers! Love the lemongrass margaritas, the GaRoti, the Vietnamese coffee, and the desserts! Beautiful atmosphere and great friendly staff!
Usually a good and welcoming experience. Not all of the time.
Staff is engaging and very professional. The food is exquisite. Always a wonderful experience! The filet mignon Pho is amazing as well as the black pepper shrimp (Ramg Muoi).
