The best fried chicken around and awesome customer service. I come to North Padre for vacation a lot. I always stop by on my way back to Houston to get my fried chicken fix. This would be my regular place to go if I lived closer. Great food and great people!
well I was very disappointed with the fish sandwich.u want fish, u go to a seafood restaurant.u want chicken u come to the chicken shack.onion rings are good, mac n cheese, not so good. the Mac n cheese was not what we expected.seemed like it came out of the box.the pies were delicious as usual.we will be back for chicken
Great food! Great staff! Great atmosphere! My son asked if we could make this a regular stop. At an hour and forty minutes away, not as regular as I'd like.It was an awesome find. I just wanted something that I could eat while driving without making too big of a mess. The batter on the chicken top notch. It was some of the best seasoned and crispiest chicken I've had out in a long long time. I really enjoyed my gizzards and my family raved about how good their shrimp were.I thought we were going to have a family squabble over the cornbread. It was soft and moist like yellow cake, but you knew you were eating cornbread.
Tad pricey but I guess it's not the same as fast food restaurants . It's done very fresh , like not manufacturer . Judging by taste, texture, and time it appears food was prepared for me . Only two things the time and price but if you want super good food well uh .
Great food and service. Onion rings are the best in south Texas! Your choice of biscuit or cornbread, I go with the cornbread every time. However, I wish it wasn’t so expensive so we could eat there more often. But I understand, it is a business.
If it wasn't so expensive, it would be great. $55.00 for fried chicken and sides. The chicken was great along with the two slices of pie. Price was unreal
One of my favorite chicken places some of the best fried chicken around I'm usually a tender guy but their normal chicken is so good
