Not exactly what we were expecting. Food was ok and portions were good. More of a cafeteria setting where you grab a tray and make selections from the line. Tried spicy sausage, ribs, brisket and several sides. Everything was ok but nothing was greatly memorable.
Overall great ribs and brisket.. really wanted to try the Beef Ribs but they sold out by 12:30. One of the best in Corpus… great tasting sides and corn rolls. Worth the visit when needing the bbq fix
Came during lunch time, not very busy but plenty of staffing. Everyone was very polite and helpful. Got the ribs and brisket + 2 sides and a drink. It came out to $30, before the tip. The sides were good, however the brisket was dry and the ribs were burnt. Had to soak them in bbq sauce to finish them. I decided to get the carrots cake, don't do it. It tasted old and extremely dry. I would have given this place a 3 star at least, but the prices knocked it down another star. A meal for 1 shouldn't cost $40, regardless of the modern times.
Jalapeño sausage and beef brisket were great! Both super tender and juicy. Corn bread was dry and Mac and cheese was super cheesy.
The service was great, the man cutting the meat saw the people behind us go in front of us and immediately told them I was there first but I actually told them to go ahead since we weren't ready. I can't say how much I appreciate him doing that. The food was also so good. My 3yo was chowing down on everything! We definitely will visit again when we are in town!
The lady over the phone took good care of me & made sure my order was made right. It was fresh and hot too!! I usually order their 3-meat plate that comes w/2 sides, but they've racked UP the PRICE even more that I've SLOWED ? getting my BBQ from them lately!
Marble brisket plate was delicious and sides mustard potatoe salad with pinto beans were the perfect paring!
The wait was minimal and the food was absolutely delicious. The lean brisket was juicy and moist, the green beans had a hint of garlic with tomatoes and onion and the wild rice mix was seasoned just right. Highly recommend as a family spot with many, many menu choices.
A must place to dine the beef ribs will make your tongue slap you silly staff is very friendly and welcoming great selection to choose from can't wait to go back
Love this place. Moist and tender beef ribs. I liked to see the food was covered before we walked in the line to order.. Great staff. Very clean place.
