This was our 2nd stay at this hotel within 3 weeks, and had previously stayed at this hotel about a year ago during the middle of the pandemic. For an Omni it’s ok, and certainly the best we’ve found in Corpus over the years (we live in Austin and come to the coast a few times a year). They offer the ability / feature to text with the hotel pre-arrival which is a nice touch. Our fist trip in July we requested a specific room we had stayed in once before for our anniversary. Within 10 minutes of a quick text I had a great response offering the room with a small upcharge…great no problem! The second trip we had texted the hotel (after their initial welcome text) for a similar request and had to call the hotel after not hearing back for over 2 hours. This was a trend during our stay for a few requests that went unanswered. Unfortunately the room we ended up with was on a lower floor, in pretty rough shape. We requested a room change and offered to pay for an upgrade to a room that was published on their website and this request was not even acknowledged/ replied to. The Republic of Texas bar and grill is great. Staff are top notch, food is wonderful and offers great ambiance. The hotel’s restaurant on the 2nd floor is much to be desired. The breakfast menu is limited which almost forces you to take the Buffett option for some what could be considered microwave food and rubber eggs. I’d opt for a short walk to the Whataburger down the street next time for sure. Lobby area is inviting, fresh and clean. Gym facilities are poor / limited and in below average condition (TV’s do not work in the fitness center). Outdated equipment , however if you need to get a workout in you can make it work. We did not use the pool but it looked ok, even if it’s on the smaller side. Overall, I think we would only opt to stay at this hotel again if we could snag a suite on the 18th floor. Otherwise it’s just a bit of a gamble with what room you could end up with.
The hotel is amazing. The team here is super friendly and they shake the best cocktail outside of Arizona! Corpus Christi on the other hand is a little under whelming!
The staff was great, overall, hotel was clean and in a nice location. Check in was quick and Melissa was very nice, courteous, and informative. Hotel seems slightly dated in certain areas, but is very well kept. Our room was on the 18th floor, and there was nothing special about that floor only that it is a hotel key card access only floor. The view was great and our room was very clean. The 18th floor hallway did need to be vacuumed, but that did not seem to happen while we stayed and also there was a funky aroma only in hallway. There was no enhanced turndown, no water in mini fridge , no upgraded room amenities as per room description on website. The pool was clean and so was the pool are; bar staff at pool was extremely courteous and friendly! Parking was easy and there was easy access from parking garage to hotel. Will stay here again, but on a regular floor.

As soon as my little girl and I got there, we were treated with dignity and respect. Doug at the valet service was courteous and very helpful. The check in was super fast and we were checked in within minutes. Bella at the front desk was professional, and friendly. She greeted us every time she saw us and her and Andres always made sure we were taken care of and made sure all of our questions were answered. Andres upon checkout thanked us for being valued guests and invited us to come back soon. The entire front desk staff were awesome! They do a thankless job and deserve to be recognized and appreciated. Tara at the pool bar was super friendly and went out of her way to make sure me and my little girl were taken care of. I can’t say enough of the joy she brought to us and the rest of the guests there. Maddie, one of the supervisors, was extremely nice and helpful to me and my baby. She made sure that we were happy with our stay. My little girl constantly voiced her opinion to me on how much she loved Tara and Maddie. I love all you guys and we will definitely be back. I’m already thinking Labor Day weekend. The Omni will always be our go to stay while in Corpus.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel!! The staff was on their toes and very kind, the room was very clean and stocked with everything we needed, even though we brought our toiletries from home. Room service was outstanding, food was still warm and fresh when it arrived, and in a timely fashion! Overall we really enjoyed staying at The Omni!!! Thank you for such great hospitality!! This was my first time in Corpus Christi and it was a very special weekend!
Over all this was a good place. Was only able to book a room with double beds and it didn't have a microwave. But service was quick when asked for extra pillows. View was nice too. Recommend a game area or something more for kids to do other than swim. Also recommend putting some folding chairs or something to sit on the balcony and watch the view.
A great location with friendly staff. We were here in June and it wasn't too busy. It had quick access to the different beaches as well as a few restaurants for lunch and dinner. The valet was great and always quick and courteous to bring around the car and unload or load it up. The pool wasn't that large and got filled up quick with other guests, but with close proximity to the beach you had a few options for water activities.
I had booked a double bed room, ocean view for my family of four. I was told I could get a roll away bed added to the room, since the beds were not queen sized but double and we could not fit two adults on one bed. After we checked in, they refused to give us the roll away bed because of a fire code that nobody mentioned the first time. I told them we can’t fit our family in the room without it, so I would need to cancel our stay and go to a different hotel that could sleep 4 people. The manager, a lady, told me to wait as she was trying to figure something out. She ended up giving us a suite with a king and two roll away beds. This solved our problem and we were able to enjoy our stay at the omni for our family vacation. Above all, this manager did the right thing and has a heart of gold. Really says a lot about who is running this place. We appreciate her decision very much. God bless her.I stayed at this hotel when I was a kid and it was called the Hershey hotel. Glad my family could enjoy as well.
Spent two nights at the Omni to celebrate our anniversary! Surprised us with truffles and champagne in our last evening - so thoughtful! Great location, clean and comfortable room with a nice view of the bay! Great breakfast buffet too! We will be back - thank you for your hospitality and beautiful hotel!
