I went there to have a great steak dinner and I started with an appetizer, fried mushrooms and they were the worst!!! It smelled good inside but After the appetizer I decided to walk out, that's how bad they were. Also by the look of the people eating there weren't very many happy faces, and that says a lot about the food. I think this place has lost it's way. So sad I really wanted to eat there.
Exceeded expectations. I was visiting Corpus with some friends and we decided to check this place out. Don't let the location or appearance of this restaurant fool you. The food was great! I got a 6 ounce steak, loaded mashed potatoes, a dinner salad, tea, and a slice of cheesecake for 28 dollars and change. The steak was cooked just the way I ordered it. It was tender, juicy, and had great flavor. The sides are all good. The cheesecake was really good. The outside of the restaurant looks a little old, not bad, but old. The atmosphere inside is very nice and welcoming. Great value and great food. The staff is very nice and our waitress was very good. I was pleasantly surprised.
This place might look old and dilapidated, but the food is amazing! The Rattler Bites were HUGE. The Caesar salad was great. My NY Strip steak was cooked perfectly to a medium cook. Bill, our bartender and server was very attentive.I would come back here again to eat.
My husband and I decided to try a new restaurant tonight and are really glad we did. From the short wait to the crab-stuffed mushrooms and the ribeye steak, the meal was delicious. Oh! I almost forgot to mention the slice of carrot cake! Yum!
Nice place, good atmosphere but the service is a little slow and not attentive. The management is awful. We saw a manager get on to an employee in the middle of the restaurant. The food is hit and miss; not always consistent. Their corn chowder soup is good. Their steaks are amazing is you catch them on the right day; if not, they are mediocre. Their sides are good, especially their baked potato and sweet potato.
Perfectly seared flavorful steak. Never disappointed with this steakhouse. No matter how busy this place is. They are always on point service wise.
Food and service was awesome! Drinks were filled promptly. We felt like we got what we paid for, which is an absolute plus.
Great food and drink specials. We sat at the bar and had excellent service from Annette our bartender. The Sunday special was turkey and cornbread dressing with two sides for $9.99. Everything was served hot and fresh. It tasted delicious. Our drinks were also priced right. We would definitely recommend this place. We hadn't been here in a couple of years and they are still doing a great job!
Great food as always. The steaks over the over flame are delicious. We had the chicken fried steak and chicken and mushrooms and both w were great also.
We went for our office Christmas party. It was expensive, for my wallet, at the time, but this a treat I can do once in a while. The steak was perfect, for my preference. I had one of the ribeye plates and they grilled it just right. The taste was phenomenal! This was the second time I've been. The first time I skipped the steak, this time around, I chose to get steak. Well worth it!
