La Playa used to be so good. Not sure if they had an "off" day or if their quality has simply gone down hill. I ordered beef fajita nachos and every single piece of fajita was chewy. They probably put it in the microwave to melt the cheese and it totally ruined the meal. My wife got a hot plate, which she enjoyed. I ordered my son a cheese enchilada and the sauce was horrible, old and dark. Probably the worst enchilada I've ever had.
Delicious food, as usual, but poor kitchen help. They kept messing up the orders no matter how many times the waitress told them what it was suppose to be. There was also fighting and yelling in the kitchen most of the night.
This was my first time visiting the restaurant and I was thoroughly impressed with the entire staff. From the time our waiter Samantha F greeted and seated us. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items and specials and gave great recommendations on food selections. I ordered the Fajitas with sour cream based on her recommendation and the dish did not disappoint. The meat was excellently seasoned, juicy, and fulfilling. It’s clear Oscar, the cook takes pride in ensuring every plate of food is expertly prepared. I will definitely visit again when I’m in the area and refer my family, friends and coworkers.
I am giving this restaurant 5 stars because we came in an hour before closing with a party of 17 and they handled it beautifully. Didn’t complain but had an awesome attitude, both the manager and the server. I was REALLY impressed.
Avoid this place unless you want to wait over 45 minutes for your food. Apparently most of the staff was replaced two weeks ago and thus short staffed. The prices are a little high for the kind of food we received. The food itself was ok nothing special.
New owners I think. Different chips (thick). Like the thinner ones they used to have. Refried beans incredibly salty! Could not eat them. Mole overcooked. This used to be my go-to spot for authentic Mexican. Doubt I'll be back.
Worst service and food ever, stood at the counter for almost 10 minutes then was sat, then was never given a refill or chips and salsa after we asked multiple times then got the response from the server " isn't nothing I can do about it" then finally got it after our meal that was disgusting, used to be really good but has went down hill big time in the past couple months. Don't recommend to anyone.
Fajitas are good. Margaritas are standard. Shrimp Stuffed Avocado is always good.
Paid 11 dollars for this and didn’t even come with a drink. Overprice tacos!! You can get more for your money next door.
This place has gone down significantly in quality and in service. I use to come here for yrs more so, now its on an off basis we went for dinner tonight the meat was tough and tarasca sauce was not good at all tortias was hard this place dont seem clean and short on staff took a while to bring anything and the heater seemed like it was not working staff was in jackets
