I expected more flavor. The fish and shrimp batter is not seasoned. Not nasty, just no flavor. Shrimp are butterflied with to much batter. Taste like those you buy frozen at a grocery store. The fish is not filets but planks. It is good fish though. The oysters were excellent. The batter is actually seasoned ? and the tarter sauce was very good. I'd buy the Oysters again.
Blackened Drum Tacos. Add Avocado. You will not be sorry. Fries are also great. These are fat tacos. It was sooooo good. Dining area still closed. Drive thru only.
Just wow!!! We ordered a different varieties from the menu and they were all good. Catfish was seasoned perfectly! My wife got the Tilapia and she said it was on point. We got the cheese and jalapeño crispers and we couldn't put them down. The tarter sauce was homemade and was the bomb!!!! I definitely recommend eating here.
I had their tilapia plate, it's fresh tasting and freshly cooked to order so there is a bit of a wait. Call ahead. Their hushpuppies were good as well.
Love the food, been coming for years, I drive across town to eat here, 25 min drive. But I do have one issue, tartar sauce, I ordered the fish poorboy with tartar sauce on the side, I prefer dipping than having it spread on the bun. Well they didn't put it on the side nor on the bun, I went to the guy who took my order, I think he is the owners son, I mentioned that I didn't get the sauce, well it seem to be an issue with him, he said it was in the bag, so I look again, nothing, long story short, took a couple more discussions and a walk to my truck and back and his frown face to get it, I had this same issue years ago. To the guy helping me, why would I lie about a .40 cent item, you ruined my experience eating the awesome food. Not a happy customer. Took two stars off due to the experience.
Awesome as always!! I enjoyed my food which was cooked right & worth every cent ?. I just really wish King Seafood would re-open, it tends to get EXTREMELY crammed in for others when they are told to park ahead!
In my opinion, King's Seafood is the best seafood in Texas. Any time I'm in Corpus, I make a point to go there. The shrimp po boy is banging. The coleslaw is both tangy and sweet. If you're on the fence. Go there. Try it. The best hole-in-the-wall restaurant EVER.
Favorite place to get sea food and unlike deer other sea food places that make me feel weighted down with the amount of breading they use , they drown the fish in grease ,or it's been sitting in there for eons, and the almost non existent amount of fish you are given and the microscopic shrimp where it's 9999.99 percent bread grease and a shriveled up niblet of shrimp .king sea food dose sea food right every single time I have order form them.the food is piping hot Soo much so even after getting my oder and driving home and accidentally burned my lip lols.It is a bit away out there but extremely well worth the drive .wish I could give a million stars to them for a rating.
I'm not much on Fish,but the fish at King Seafood taste delicious,and their tartar sauce is the best I've ever tasted,I sure wish there were more locations,also the staff there have always been polite,friendly and very respectful, and never a long wait,I definitely recommend to everyone
The seafood is awesome!! The ladies are pretty nice, as well. Just wish they opened up at a bigger location. 4 stars only because ever since they reopened after covid, the inside is closed. So at lunch time, the line gets long. It's best to get there as soon as they open or wait a while till the line dies down. They try to get your order out in a reasonable time. They're definitely worth the wait, if you have the time. Oh and also because of prices rising across the nation, they're prices have also rised quite a bit.
