Kiko's is a long time Corpus favorite for many people, and it may soon be one of yours as well. They have a large selection of Mexican food entree's, including dinner and lunch specials or order ala carte. The happy hour margarita specials are a bonus. The puffy taco is a real treat you don't find everywhere. The beef or chicken enchiladas are great. This is a really big place, but you'll get the personal attention you need for a nice relaxing meal to be enjoyed at your own pace.
Got Puffy Tacos and the Enchilada Dinner Plate, and also a Happy Hour Margarita. Food was tasty and we liked the Puffy Tacos, which we were interested to try for the first time. But we loved the homemade corn tortillas more. Chips and salsa that we were served to start with were also good; my wife, who normally wouldn't eat chips before having a meal, couldn't stop eating them. Atmosphere was fun and welcoming. Server was helpful. Good experience coming here.
I went with my sister and brother-in-law today and we had a wonderful experience. Our waitress,Elizabeth, was amazing and super helpful. We had the Macho Nachos, my sister had menudo and me and my brother-in-law had the tortilla soup. All of it was delicious and the portions were huge! And the top shelf margaritas were the bomb! If I could give them 10 stars I would! It's definitely worth a trip there ??
Kiko's had been visited before by this traveler, but I don't recall writing about it. This place did warrant two additional visits when I decided to vacation in Corpus Christi again, one for dinner, and another for breakfast. The ratings in this space will be for dinner, and it was muy bueno! Got some beef enchiladas and some ground beef tacos. They all had a just-right, seasoned flavor. One bite of the enchiladas brought forth a marvelous Texas chili sauce which fits perfectly with the casserole. The ground beef for the tacos was as good as any I've had. Also got some fresh-made flour tortillas and some rice and beans. Enjoyed them all. Best of all, they have near-perfect tortilla chips and they come with the most flavorful, yet simple, salsa. The folks here call it hot sauce, but you can see the small tomato chunks with the peppers and onions in a nice medley. It doesn't need cilantro like a lot of other places like to do. Everything was washed down with good, cold iced tea. This will be my official go-to for Mexican food here in CC. Breakfast a couple of days later was quite good, with a Mexican omelette and some good, smoked bacon. And that salsa was perfect with eggs, so much so that I decided to order a jar to take back to Dallas with me. Great stuff. I will be back. I only wish that these guys would add a couple more locations in the Corpus area. The food, and the salsa, are all worth it!
LOVED the queso....we don't get that in California.....also loved the salsa. The sauce (they call it chili gravy?) is not what we are used to in CA also....as it tastes more like traditional chili - but it was great! Beans and rice were good.....guacamole also was pretty good.....I ate WAY too much which says something! OH! and I also enjoyed the traditional Margarita! Would not hesitate to eat here again.....OFTEN!
We had a great experience here. My coworker enjoyed (more than a few) their $2 margaritas. He ordered beef fajitas and I ordered the Kiko's Special. It was a lot of food for a great price. We were told, as out of Towner's, to come here. We were told we would wait 20 minutes to get a table and we waited about ten minutes.I will be back.
great food and staff was great
Their food is the best Mexican food in town!!
always great service and food!!
Mariachi band is very nice to experience during dinner. Half the food was very good (beans, fajitas), other half was not enchilada, chalupa. My coworkers who came had the same experience one had a very good meal, the other was just okay.
