Hester's is hands down the best! A friend and I found this gem on our trip out of town. French toast made with challah bread where half a serving was filling. The Monti Christi with the same warm bread, lightly topped with powdered sugar and served with mouth watering fresh fruit. This sandwich was huuuuge. I took half home. The staff were prompt, friendly amd knew what I needed before I did. You won't regret a visit here.
We had several special diets to consider, all had multiple choices that would work, and the food was SO incredible! We arrived within an hour of closing time (late afternoon on that day), they happily served us and let us linger as long as we wanted, which was lovely. We were with family that we hadn't seen for quite some time, so that time was precious. Did I already say the food is EXCELLENT? Remember that.
I got the Texas Wave (turkey/avocado panini) with kettle chips and a large coffee. Everything was fabulous. I could see the food on people's tables when I walked in, and it made me want to order EVERHTHING!!There is an artisan flare to the food, and the pastry case is full to the brim with delicious-looking sweets! I chose a slice of lemon blueberry cheesecake. All portions are generous! Next time, I'm trying one of their espresso-based creations.Update: 2nd and 3rd trip I got the Mediterranean Bowl and I'm addicted!!! I love all of the healthy, nutritious options and the depth of FLAVOR!Customer service is top notch, and the atmosphere is cozy/chic.
Hester’s is a wonderful fusion of coffee shop, bakery, breakfast diner, and sandwich shop. The service is always friendly, and the quality of food is top notch. It’s definitely a family favorite with two locations (formerly three), but I usually end up at their 6-points location. The coffee selection is always nice, usually with a featured coffee. Today they had a Cinnamon, Almond, Chocolate blend that was really delicious. They also cater events and just like dine-in, the quality and service is always great!

A quaint cafe with friendly service & staff. A Christian owned business with a Christian radio station playing uplifting music.I will def. come back to try the french toast.Avacado toast was wonderful!
Delicious French toast and bottomless cup of coffee. Uncomfortable chairs. Hard to linger because of that, but love Hester's warm ambiance. Christian music in background. Visited with manager, Steve, about maybe 1/2 order for my single self. There are 1/2 orders from griddle like French toast and pancakes he said. Of course, they have their lovely pastries. Anyway, super nice guy and very friendly with regular patrons being called by name.
Love the atmosphere/building with big windows and open space. Super clean too!!! Love the food/menu options; it's difficult finding truly healthy food at restaurants and everything we tried tasted great! Interesting and varied options. Generous portions. Super friendly people. This will always be my go-to choice whenever I visit Corpus.
