Great food and atmosphere the chicken fried steak is also awesome.
1st time here and everything was delicious my wife had the grilled pork chops and I had chicken fried steak. Food portions were just right a great experience. Will definitely be a go to spot.

Great place to eat with Texas-size portions, hospitality, and a very broad menu sure ro have something for everyone. Highly recommended. It's no surprise that they've been doing it great for 42years at this location.

I like catfish, so when we saw Catfish Charlies while driving down McArdle I had to stop and try it. We were seated promptly (although there is a bench waiting area if your group has to wait to be seated). The staff included four waitresses who were very efficient, as well as being helpful and friendly. Our order came without delay, and looked great. The breaded catfish was done to perfection, and the cole slaw had something added that gave it a nice, slightly different piquant flavor. The hush puppies were also excellent, and the portions were generous. The prices were very reasonable, and the total experience was excellent. I'll be back again next time I visit my friend in Corpus.
I’m a big fan of catfish and this was not my favorite. The only reason I stopped here was because it was number four in Corpus Christi. The cat fish should have been cooked just a little longer to achieve a crispier crust. The cat fish was just lifeless. The coleslaw was way too dry and had too much of a peppery taste to it. I like the idea that they serve hush puppies like a bread basket. I’m not a fan of steak fries and I’m not sure why the pintos looked black. The service was good but I’ll stick to David Beard’s for my catfish.
