Usually I don’t post about negative experiences on review because I understand that sometimes things happen.However, this is not the case while I did enjoy the food and atmosphere it was ruined by one of their managers on Saturday afternoon.I am not from Corpus so I was really excited to try this place out. All of the staff were amazing with taking my order. They answered my questions politely and were super accommodating.When we received our food again great! It wasn’t until the middle of mine and my friends meal that a manger walked out and basically told us very brashly to move from our table. I didn’t realize the table was a utility table for a sound system despite the signs. That was my fault because I did pick that table but I simply did not see them. She comes up and points at them and tells us we have to move or when we see someone going through through a shed. Part of being a manager is to accommodate your guests and while I understand their need for the table she didn’t have to be rude about it.I get it, I work in the service industry I’m a bartender, been a manager. I understand the stresses of a busy restaurant. But the tone and words of this manager were not appreciated at all.After that, I told my friend I wanted to leave and did not want to spend anymore of my money at this establishment because of her.If she talked to us like that I can only imagine how she treats the staff.
The food is awesome & you don't have to break your wallet to enjoy it. Great music & casual atmosphere, fun for the whole family, even your fur babies as they have really nice outdoor seating. Luis Contreras, the manager of the Surf Club, is the best! Caring & courteous, we enjoyed our time there as vendors during the Art Walk & as patrons enjoying some juicy burgers & beers. Philly Cheesesteaks are amazing.
Definitely a great and lively spot in downtown Corpus Christi.Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.Appetizer I ordered was fried pickles they were good.I had the classic burger and fries but I doubled up on the meat.My girl had the bacon cheese burger.The meat patties were good size, they didn't skimp on the meat, traditional fries were good too.In my opinion, they have the best mango and strawberry margaritas in town.
The burgers here were so juicy and thick. I had it with the sweet potato fries which were good too. The whole environment was fun and energetic. Their cheese dip as an appetizer was so worth it too.The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that the restrooms were pretty gross. The floor was all wet and it smelled.
Cool outdoor patio with live music and bar. Food is not as good, ordered burger combo and the fries came out Cold! No security in sight on this Thursday, transient dude walks right in and sits at my table. Methed out dude starts rocking out dusting my table along with drinks and food with his filthy self. Won't be back, too bad. David Martinez was pretty good.
Southwest burger and chicken wraps the best
What a great place, great venue, and great staff! Very well ran and energetic kitchen staff. It was a great experience for the whole family. Outdoor area was a cool atmosphere and the food was excellent!
