Great food! Had the stuffed flounder, son had the fish tacos and husband coconut shrimp-not fried. Plentiful portions. Fresh ingredients. Service for our meal was as expected-very friendly and first waitress was attentive. Ended our evening by coming back later for dessert, drinks and live music. Mixed drink awesome-watermelon and cucumber flavored. Atmosphere relaxing with great view of the sunset and water. Highly recommend!
GREAT food and drinks (Strawberry Mojito!!), live music, attentive service….and man, that SUNSET! Highly recommend this fun spot!!
My family loves this place. The food is really good and we love the open air dining area. The wait for a table can be long sometimes, usually an hour or more. But with the bar downstairs that has plenty of seating, time really does fly by and before you know it, they are buzzing you that your table is ready.
Good food. Good atmosphere. Really good waiter. Oysters were dang good. No air conditioning. It’s Hot! Fair price. Beach restaurant.
Finding decent food service in Port Aransas has been a failing ordeal. We left Port A for Docs hoping we could enjoy seafood. What a disaster! First, the noise level was excruciating. Why people must shout while eating I do not understand. Also, the live entertainment was very loud promoting the insufferable exchanges. Second, service was lacking. The waiter did not know the difference between New England and Manhattan clam chowder. He knew red or white. Also, he did not return to check on meals. Third, food was substandard. Clam chowder was pasty and lumpy. A seafood salad was warm and presented on wilted greens. Fried items were over cooked. My margarita tasted like syrupy fruit juice. Horrible venue.
Logo radio station claims Docs offer the best fried shrimp on that side of the bridge. I ate there at 11am on June 30, 2022. I ordered the shrimp ? platter which came with hush puppies, French fries and cole slaw. The place was crowded but that is no excuse for warm food. The service was good based on the amount of people at the restaurant. I am thinking they cooked up a bunch of food to handle the party that was there. My plate of food was $19 and I believe it should be fresh fried food. I will not return for food that tasted like leftovers.
My wife and I celebrated 31 years at Doc’s. We read the reviews about the wait time and were prepared. The wait was not too bad. My wife got drinks at the bar and we enjoyed the waterfront view.We had the queso special with the crab guacamole as appetizers. They were really good.I had the rib eye which was cooked wonderfully and tasted great. My wife had the crab stuffed flounder which she really liked.We were given a complimentary piece of key lime pie for our special anniversary. It was wonderful.Bryan was our server and took great care of us. He gave us a good rundown of the menu and his suggestions were on point. He really made the occasion better with his positive attitude.Thanks Bryan and we wish you a long and happy marriage.
Yummy In my tummy! Family of Eight. The waiter was absolutely amazing, his name was John (I think). He had so much patience and remembered every single little detail about our orders. Only bad thing is my daughter is allergic to crab and there is crab in the guacamole! HAHA. So that was fun! But all was good! Great atmosphere and a lot parking! You can actually fish off the dock there. Pretty amazing place and employees. Food was delicious! The docs margarita was SO GOOD!
Food and service were the best! We had the MahiMahi, Redfish and Srimp PoBoy and everything was delicious. Someone in our party can no have gluten and Doc's delivered! Do not go to Snoopy's next door if you are gluten intolerant - they can NOT deliver! Also had $5 margaritas that were so good. Our server was fantastic and so friendly (wish I had her name). And of the course, the views! Can't wait to go back!
First time at Doc’c. Stopped here for steak/sea food. Food and service was excellent. Live music was good also. We will dine here again.
