Recently moved to Corpus and while exploring I found this little gem of a place to have lunch at today. Ordered the spicy shredded duck with fried rice and egg drop soup. The duck was amazing!! Great food and excellent service.
As someone who ate a lot of Chinese food in America, I am pretty surprised and happy to find an authentic restaurant in Corpus Christi, of all places. Would expect it in a place with a lot higher population of Asians.First off, avoid ordering the Americanized Chinese food from the last page. That will most likely lead to disappointment. It’s not what this place is for.The menu dedicates most of their pages with pictures of what authentic Chinese food looks like. We had the fish and lamb pot, and the seasfood special tofu. Both were excellent. The fish and lamb pot was mildly spicy and had a lot of great, well cooked ingredients. The seafood special tofu has the super tender yet outter shell cooked tofu. It is also fantasitc.This place is definitely more expensive than typical, fast food Chinese restaurants. However, it’s definitely worth the price point, given the quality of ingredients and food.The place is also quite clean and well maintained. Would recommend. And again, avoid the Americanized Chinese menu. Order some beef / lamb dish that you think you might like, and it will likely not disappoint.
Got the three pepper chicken and the chili beef and OH MY GOSH it was amazing. First time coming here and we will definitely be back. Authentic food! Huge portions.
This was our second time at Dao’s. We came from San Antonio area to spend some time at the Corpus Christie area beaches and were craving Asian food. Dao did not disappoint yet again. I asked our server what he wound recommend for seafood and shrimp and hands down he recommended the Szechuan Shrimp. From the first bite my mouth exploded with flavor. I normally don’t eat a whole portion of Asian food but shamefully ate the whole portion. Can’t wait to come here again when we visit the area.
The food is SO SO delicious! It's one of my favorites in Corpus Christi. Last night I ordered the Shredded Pork in Garlic Sauce for my entree and it had so much flavor. Nothing has disappointed us and the service is fantastic too. Can't wait to go back and try more!

EXTREMELY good food! Inside is very clean and cool atmosphere. Egg foo young was great, along with hunan beef. The lunch portions were perfect and reasonably priced.The waitress that helped us seemed a bit stressed and was kinda rude, but didn't take away from the overall experience. Definitely coming back again for more.
