Food here is always good after so many years. The staff is friendly, cheerful and menu knowledgeable.
Fish and shrimp were ok. Hush puppies were the favorite and the tartar sauce as well. Spices?. Wish they would add that spice to the fries, would really make them special.Red beans needed spice as well and a smaller portion or give us gumbo as an option.Cole slaw was finely shredded and fresh.Star standouts were the hush puppies , gumbo and tartar sauce.
I had the creole rice and shrimp it was very good. I also enjoyed the coleslaw. The sweet tea is a 5/10 in sweetness if Chicken Express is a 10.
Fried fish and shrimp with red beans and coleslaw. The best seafood I've had in a long while. Came out fresh and hot. Most important to me is how crunchy and flavorful it was. I'm not a big fan of coleslaw but i have to admit that it was delicious. Didn't have too much sauce in it and well it was crunchy as it should be. The service was beyond great. It's hard to find a place that has great service and great food at the same time. It's usually one or the other but not both.
Could not find anything on the menu that would make me go back …now that just my opinion… it has been open for a lot of years …. I have lived in CC for two decades and to many people here don’t give me the idea that they are a healthy bunch … not saying they are all CFC customers
The food is good. You need to know that the menu is everything fried. That’s not a negative unless you are seeking something other than fried food.
I love this place, they definitely have some awesome fresh shrimp, the fried catfish is very good. The complimentary hush puppies are delicious.This is a must visit.I had the mitad y mitad plate, it's pretty good, half fried catfish and half shrimp.
The food is fantastic. If you can’t eat a large chicken fried steak, check out the smaller portion menu. The shrimp is delicious, the red beans are so flavorful. The service is excellent. Just all around good food!
The restaurant was busy and loud. Service for take out was fast though. They provide a lot of sides so two pieces of catfish was plenty. Everything was good, but nothing special. It is a good value and would do take out again.
I'm not crazy about seafood so I tried the chicken strips. The breading was full of flavor and the perfect thickness. The steak fries also amazing. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!! (in the voice of Billy May) THE HUSH PUPPIES ALONE ARE WORTH THE TRIP!
