This little gem was located very close to where we were staying. Any place that has seafood queso on their menu is worth a try. The queso and salsa was absolutely delicious. The aloha burger was cooked to perfection and the fries were cooked fresh. The drink menu was pretty large and service was quick and Lo was attentive. Don’t miss out on stopping here for a great meal and good beach vibes.

We had a great dinner here. We ordered chips & queso as an appetizer, which was surprisingly flavorful for a primarily seafood place. I ordered the border chicken Monterrey, my husband got the grilled catch of the day (snapper) with Diablo sauce, and our son had the kids hot dog. I also had a Big Red margarita that was **chef’s kiss**. Service was friendly and quick, and everything was delicious. My chicken dish was just so unique and tasty - I would order that again in a heartbeat. The menu has plenty of options - seafood or non, in various cuisines. There’s something for everyone and it was all good.

Stopped for a carryout order of fried shrimp and they were super fresh tasting. They even included some to go sauces and I'm not sure what they were, but they were absolutely amazing with the shrimp. We didn't dine in, but the environment looked fun and the t shirts were funny as well. Nice staff.

We visited Blackbeard's after seeing a review on our hotel that included "the purple place across the street is yummy." Our waitress, Christina, was friendly and helpful. She made a recommendation to my daughter who is 10 yo, that the child's potion may be a bit small and suggested a larger portion without going into a full size adult meal. She was right and making the adjustment worked well. My husband's salad was fresh and filling. My kids said the fries are awesome. My shrimp was good - a little bland but cooked well with a nice crispy batter. The jalapeno hush-puppies we're indeed yummy. The Brownie Explosion we had for dessert was delicious!! If we go back, I plan to try one of their "specialties."

This is a really great seafood place. Perfectly located near the tourist attractions. The fish here is tasty and the batter has just right the amount of crisp to it. The fried calamari was a treat and their fries are also delicious. They serve Big Red here which is definitely a huge plus. The staff here are friendly and fast. I’ll be coming back soon!

Based on other reviews we chose Blackbeards for lunch and were a little disappointed. The service was FANTASTIC - the food was meh. Sort of bad. We ordered 3 kids popcorn shrimps- all were undercooked. The onion rings were delicious. And so were the hush puppies. Seriously they were perfect. The decorations in the restaurant were terrific. And very pirate themed. The kids thought it was great.

I was so excited to check this place out and drug my friends along. We were really disappointed in the drinks and the food. I ordered a burger because the pictures on the website made them look so good! It appeared to be from the freezer and was super dry. We ordered cocktails too and they were a disaster. The dessert was actually pretty decent but that was about it. Now we did go on a Sunday evening, so maybe that’s what effected the atmosphere but we won’t be going back.

The food here was very good. It was flavorful and well worth the price. Went with eating a certain meal but chose something else. Glad I did, the fish was fantastic.

We eat at Blackbeards at least 5 or 6 times a year. The food is very good and the prices are reasonable. My personal favorites are the crab burger and the shrimp wrap.

So, the building itself and the interior are not fancy or new, in fact it looks like a bit of a hole in the wall, and it’s not exactly on the beach. I was expecting a nice deck overlooking the water or something, but no. It’s across the street from a hotel that looks like it’s been there for quite awhile, as do a lot of the buildings in Corpus. Be not deceived, however, the food and the service are wonderful! The Aloha Burger is to die for if you like tropical flavors like coconut and pineapple. It comes with coconut mayo - what?!! It’s amazing! The fries are delicious as are their fried mushrooms. They have dessert drinks! I had a coffee that I can’t pronounce, but it’s the Keoeke coffee; brandy, Kahlua, creme de cocoa, topped with whipped cream. It was yummy and didn’t break the bank! The staff were friendly and accommodating. It’s a new favorite spot in Corpus and I highly recommend it!
