Great place for the location. Food is good but service has gone down slightly. I had to make trips to the bar myself due to our waitress not being very attentive. Very family friendly atmosphere. In that same instance, it kills the vibe for karaoke due to the amount of kids that go sing. So, that can be taken good & bad depending on ur situation.
Live in corpus for 5 years. About 6 months I tried them for the first time food was horrible! The chicken fried steak was tough couldn’t cut Through it with the little plastic knife and the cheap fork they gave me broke mashed potatoes were cold the only thing good was what was on the TVs. Now if you are just looking to play pool, drink and watch the game and in the area then stop by but other than that Big Sam’s is definitely not a go to spot if you’re visiting CC.
First time eating here. Nice place, but the burger and fries seemed to be precooked. Burger wasn't as juicy as you would think 1/2 pound of hamburger would be, and fries seemed to be put back in frylator for a flash fry. Was so disappointed.
All staff except the hostess we're Texas friendly had a blast both food and beer were good. It's a great place to have a badass time
Our waitress Kayla was amazing and on point. Not a big fan of doing only one ticket for a party of 21 but we had a great time.
I'm giving this place stars for the customer service and atmosphere. Our server was very nice and attentive and the atmosphere is very nice. This place is large and the layout is great with the pool tables and games kept separate from places folks dine. Unfortunately most of our food was not good. I had ordered the fish and shrimp, hoping that because I was near the gulf, it would be good. The fish breading tasted like bleached corn breading, was mushy and didn't have any flavor, the shrimp was rubbery even though the breading was not cooked all the way through and the fries were cold. This was disappointing because the place itself and the employees were very nice.
there was a roach cooked into my burger , my fries were not cooked all the way . nasty .

Lively and happy place! Plenty of space and the atmosphere is i.m.o. an adult sports bar type. Friendly wait staff and the food is delicious! The portions are generous and tasty! The beer on tap was not super cold like it should be (my only gripe). We ordered the fried shrimp plate - one with regular fries & one with sweet potato fries (pictured). We also ordered boneless wings - lemon pepper flavored and onion rings. The onion rings were awesome and handmade. The wings were flavorful. The shrimp were meaty and large with tasty shrimp sauce on the side. The sweet potato fries are excellent! The prices are a bit high but totally worth it. Lots of large screen TV's with a good assortment of sports showing. Billiard tables also available if you're so inclined. Definitely a place to visit over and over again!
Always have enjoyed the food and appetizers..one of my regular places to enjoy a bloody Mary and lunch..football games are always fun! Try the boil in a bag..the Cajun spicy flavor...IS Xtra spicy...careful.
