Took carry-out on their 2nd day open.Moo Goo Gaipan was very well prepared, plenty of vegetables.Jalapeño chicken & shrimp had a nice grilled flavor.Egg drop soup good, not great.Staff are very friendly.I recommend, and will return when in the area.
Tried the Kung Pao Beef it was delicious loved that everything is fresh. Not too many places do they make it fresh most Asian food in Corpus Christi is buffet. Also tried the Chicken and shrimp sizzling rice soup that too was really good. If you're looking for good food and decent prices you need to try it out. I will definitely be going back.
Best tasting in Calallen but the yellow rice is weird and they have no clue how to do pad tai you do not just throw raw peanuts over the top lol as the restaurant mention it was Kung Pao chicken not pad tai as a former chef the peanuts should be roasted and a trick that makes it extra yummy is crushing the peanuts right before throwing them in the pan so you get more of that great roasted flavor. Just a hand full of nuts out of a roasted peanut jar really leaves the dish lacking some great flavors other than that the food was good
Not bad, would I come back? Maybe not.Hunan chicken and shrimp was good. I liked the vegetables.Steamed dumplings were not so great, you can tell its frozen. The dumplings were soggy, mushy, and gummy, not much flavor.Orange chicken was dry and you can tell that the fried chicken is frozen as well. Didn’t really taste like orange chicken either.The restaurant looks run down and a little dirty.Our waitress was nice.
Tried this place twice just to see if it was any better the 2nd time. It wasnt. Wont go back. Buffet and a drink is almost $20 for one person. Ridiculous. Thats high as heck. Waitresses arent very attentive. The food was 6 out of 10 for a chinese buffet taste wise and selection wise, just wish there was more selection like other places.
Hot fresh to go chicken fried rice was a good deal more food than i expected!Always smiles and friendly service and decently quick in and out!
