Place was amazing! Super friendly staff, me and the wife loved our meals. She got the Hungarian goulash and loved every bite. Very fragrant and the meat was super tender. I got the duck and let me tell you that skin was super crispy yet the meat was fall off the bone. The glaze that came with it paired perfectly with the mashed potatoes and veggies. I highly recommend bringing your family here you won’t be disappointed
Don't waste your time!! Terrible ordeal that just wouldn't end!! This used to be a great place but it's completely gone now, service, atmosphere, price, portions. We had a very bad experience on Valentine's day so we were hesitant to return. Same experience : one server for the entire restaurant. People left because no one seated them. We were served water and offered nothing else including no alcoholic drinks and no refills. Items on the menu were unavailable. Food came quickly but portions small, food bland price extremely high!! BTW, for those who carry firearms, this place has an illegally displayed 51% sign posted inside the doorway. On a good note the dessert was good but it would have been better with ice cream which we asked for and it wasn't available.
This was the first time I ever been here with my family. At first we were going to a store but they closed early. We were pretty bummed out and drove out further and saw this place. We wonder what this place was and started looking at their menus. We turned back around and gave this place a chance. We were greeted by a wonderful host and sat right away. Our waiter James was very tentative to us and gave us the best service we ever had! The food was delicious, fresh and the atmosphere was calm and collected. We will definitely be coming back again! If your ever near this place. Check this place out! Good food and great Service!!!!Keep James as a waiter! He's a hard worker and great server! ?☺️?
I was driving aimlessly with my family after a frustrating week. Megadeth's concert was cut short yesterday because of the American Bank Centers "curfew" and to top it off its Easter weekend. I was upset, my son was disappointed, and my wife was trying to keep us together. And I usually don't drive to this part of town since it's really out of my way, but my wife told me she saw this restaurant we passed by called Ara's. Never heard of it and I was reluctant, but she always has great instincts. As soon as we walked in, it was beautiful. The marble floors, nice tables, they even had a piano in the corner. Then I was greeted by no exaggeration the best waiter I've ever had. His name was James and from what I gather, he's typically not a waiter, but he's got natural talent. Who ever is in charge, keep him a waiter. He's going to make you guys successful and people like him are rare treasure. I felt welcomed and the food was impeccable. No joke. Everything was quality, quality, quality. I had a few apps like fried mushrooms and pickles. The breading and ranch were top notch. I had a chicken fried steak and it was unique in that it was made with ribeye, making it extremely flavorful. My son Hank got the Veinna Schnitzel, which was similar to the fried steak but had some sort of white wine cream sauce instead and he loved it too. My wife had duckling, which we never had and she loved it. So did I. Totally recommend if haven't tried before. This place was like fate finding it because I am for sure going to be coming back. James made this experience so positive and friendly, the food was amazing, and I heard they plan to have piano players and opera singers, something I have a huge love and respect for. Ara, if you're reading this, you've touched the hearts of a family and we'll be returning very soon with some friends too. Thank you.
Ambiance is nice, but it makes you feel like they are trying too hard. The portions were just right, the waitstaff strange, but good. The food was very good. I havent had piergois in years. Theirs are pretty okay considering the south Texas location. I would probably still go next door to the Ginger Cafe, but if Mediterranean isn't your thing, or you want a bar, you should try here.
Got to say this place is amazing!! Everything is high in fell like you are very important from the first step to the last bite! There was live music from Olga Miliuta her voice is outstanding! The management to the servers made us feel like they wanted us here. If you have special events like a Wedding a very important business meeting or anything this is the place.
Absolute fine dining! The food? GoodExpensive? ModeratelyAmbiance? Very relaxing. Dim orange lighting and light French music playing in the background.Theme? FrenchGrand Piano? Yes!
Horrible experience and will not return. Overpriced food, horrible service and zero accountability. Took almost an hour to get our food, and received a “surf and turf” for $30 that could have been an appetizer. There was a total of 3 shrimp in the entree. The cooking is circa ‘90’s, complete with the sprinkled parsley. Wine was not fresh. It was only 2 of us, 1 glass of wine, 1 appetizer and the 2 entrees. Paid over $100! For the cost, there is much better food in town.
Brunch was pretty good, Benedict eggs cooked correctly, but were lukewarm to cold, otherwise really good
This place is amazing delicious food great drinks and awesome staff i highly recommend this place 5 Stars.
