Superb food and service. The best cheese enchiladas I have ever had. They were busy but attentive. Highly recommend to all.
Good Mexican especially the tacos. I had the fish tacos and the wife had shrimp tacos. Beans were spicy. Kids had tacos rancheros. I’ll come back.
This family friendly place has tasty authentic Mexican food, large portions, and is very reasonably priced. The place is usually busy, but there's a lot if seating, so you never wait for a table. The food is delivered quickly and is fresh and hot! Word of advice, bring a sweater because it's always freezing in there. Not a bad thing in the Texas heat!
Sunday morning at the Acapulco is as busy as you will see a restaurant. There is very limited parking so after you manage to score a spot and wait for a table it gets better. The food is well and correctly prepared with very large portions. That is no doubt the reason for the large crowd. The downsides are outweighed by the food, although the tamales are average at best, which is a shame considering how many great tamales are in the local area. The corn tortillas are not typical and are soft, almost like flour tortillas. I liked them, but my wife prefers the traditional corn tortillas. The staff is efficient even with the crowd. The only other downside is that with so many people coming and going there are flies in the restaurant. Hard to keep them out given the foot traffic.
The parking lot was full on a Wednesday evening at 7:30 - that gave us confidence that we'd found a good spot - and we were not disappointed. The menu offered a large selection of standard Mexican fare and everything we ordered was very good. The vegetarian in our group found bean and cheese tostadas, the meat lover ordered carne asada. Something for everyone! Portions were good-sized and everything came out quickly and hot. The kids got a lime-flavored icee for dessert from the freezer on the way out the door. A great casual spot for excellent food.
I eat a lot of Mexican food but today's meal was exceptional. My 1st visit to Acapulco Mexican Food #1. The place was crazy busy. The service was a little slow BUT they were very busy and our waitress was working her tail off. I ordered the Acapulco Shrimp (grilled shrimp and veggies, rice & guacamole). The shrimp was perfectly grilled along with very tasty veggies. The rice was very good and the guacamole was fresh, but could use a little spice so I added some salsa. BTW, the salsa was also really good. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. I will definitely eat there again.
I'm Mexican food fan, and they do it great here. We didn't visit this location, rather the #2 location. This one was clean, well kept, the service was excellent. YUM to fajita tacos and chicken tostadas.
