This place is a GEM in Corpus Christi. Every time we have family in town, we bring them here. I think they have the best chicken sandwich around and it's definitely something you should try as they have several types. Their chicken salad is also one of my favorites. Give them a try and taste different items from their menu. You'll find something you'll love, but for me, I haven't found anything I DIDN'T love. Enjoy!
Absolutely amazing. Came to CC for just 1.5 days and picked this place for brunch. The mama’s chicken and waffles was absolutely delicious and the mimosas are affordable! Great service, great music, great food — I wish there was one in my hometown in KY. Thank you for the stellar food experience!!
This is such a cute little restaurant. My in-laws suggested it and it did not disappoint. They each ordered their own unique breakfast without gluten.On the other hand, I enjoyed some tasty fruit waffles with blue berries. I would definitely order again. They also had coffee, tea, water and soda. Service was quick and friendly.
When we arrived, barely any people which was nice, nobody greets customers, very impersonal place.My order arrived and my husband hadnt.. nobody bothered to ask if he was still waiting for his order.He had to stop one of the servers to check on his order and to our surprise it was never placed.Cashier took no ownership in not placing husband order. Poor customer. ?All of that aside.. Yes.. food is yummy!
I’m not the type to write reviews but in this case it was definitely necessary. This restaurant looks really nice and has great reviews which is what drew me to this place. The burger was tasteless the expensive Mac and cheese tasted like water with garlic salt. I paid $45 for 2 tasteless burgers and 1 side mac and cheese. The food was so terrible I wanted a refund. I felt like I didn’t eat anything because of how tasteless it was, cold, hard, and looked like pre cooked food. Save your money, I really was hoping this place would meet my expectations.
Cool twists on some classics like chicken and waffles. Very clean atmosphere, good staff and speedy service. Small place with limited seating but people move out quickly.
8TE has great food. The MACLOVIN’ Burger was hot and flavorful. And make sure you put their house-made pickles on your sandwich. They are incredible! It came with really good fries too but it was so big I only ate the burger. The atmosphere is sleek and clean. I didn’t have their cookies, but they must be wonderful because three different groups came in and got them. I will definitely be back.
First off, I’m a Tofu lover. I love everything about it including the versatility. Sadly, 8TE missed the mark in so many ways. 1. Rather than taking advantage of tofu’s ability to absorb flavor, they opted to just fill it with grease. Thankfully, the BBQ sauce helped mask that a little, but not much. The onion rings, rather than being drained, were dripping with grease as well. Perfect example of a healthy meal, cooked very wrong and disgusting. Either new management or a new cook that knows how to cook is in order.As for my lunch mates, they had the avocado tacos. Again, the main ingredient is an extra helping of grease.The meal over all was a great attempt, but sadly missed the mark. This is a place to avoid in our opinion. Or at least avoid till they can obtain a proper cook.
The food is very good and service is polite and good (not slow, but not super fast, just right). We had the Souther Confort (waffles n chicken) and Cuatro omelet without bacon (Very good for someone that usually eats meat). Very clean, but price is a bit expensive. For what we had with coffee it was $30.04 (expensive).
Simply yummy food, so glad I finally tried them out! Unique menu items that I will definitely be returning to try. Service was great as well, I recommend you try them out.
