Most Olive Gardens get a 3 star from me. It's just consistent Italian food. This location gets 4 stars all because of the service. I hope I do not butcher his name but DeAnte stepped in when our server did not show up for work on time. His section was across the restaurant but we never noticed. Drinks always full, refills of soup on time....JUST AMAZING. We dined there on 3/17 around 4pm and sat in the back near the restrooms. If I have his name wrong let me I'll update my review.
I will say my previous experiences have been really bad and there was one particular employee that set the bar this time. She was knowledgeable on the phone, she was polite and did not rush my order, she offered me a drink while I waited so my bread sticks were able to be remade. I was a few minutes late and she felt they needed to remake them. The salad was amazing. The gnocchi had a good amount of chicken and fixings in it. I do believe it may have been put into the plastic a bit too warm because it had an off flavour this time. I will be back and I will order it again. I have revised my review because of this one individual and I think she needs to be training the new hires. She's been there long enough to read my review and make it a point to turn service around. This is another chain restaurant that seems to be a nice fastfood place. We ordered an appetizer and Soup and Salad as a meal. Everything came at once when our drinks arrived. We sat kind of close to the area waiting staff hang out at and though I'm not an employee I can tell who is seeing who and who doesn't like who. We had to ask for refills on drinks and Salad, that seemed to irritate the waitress. Soup and Salad was what you would expect nothing to get excited about.
I think they've updated the Alfredo sauce? I dunno, everything just seemed extra tasty. We sat next to the bar, I think we were served by the bartender. He was really nice! The young man who seemed to be the manager or at least the acting manager was super friendly and said thank you to us as we left.
Olive Garden is not one of my favorite places for Italian food. That said, this location tries hard. The service is always fast and friendly. Food is what you’d expect. Nothing extraordinary, but consistent nonetheless.Another thing they do here which I don’t much care for is they put a computer on the table and encourage you to order drinks, dessert, pay your bill, etc. I’m old school when it comes to working in a restaurant. As a former server, the last chance I had to impress the guest with my attentiveness and to thank them was when I presented the check. I feel that is diminished now with the advent of these computers.
I always order takeout and a lovely young lady by the name of “Bri” is usually the one who brings it out to me. She is extremely personable, always asks if I want a drink if my food is not done and sometimes even if it is. Such a sweet girl who keeps the people coming back!
If you are an Eskimo you may enjoy dining here. After repeated requests to at least turn the A/C off we froze thru our dinner (and I never get cold). Reminder it is currently 45 degrees outside! The front house manager was rude and her staff shows it. The back house manager was a very sweet gentleman. You can tell his employees are way happier than the front house. I get that restaurants are having difficulty, but they were NOT shorthanded (4-5 girls at the check-in desk). My mother wanted to eat here or I would have gone somewhere else. I won't be back. Guess a reminder of why I try to stay away from chain restaurants.
Sat at the bar with my sister and ordered a endless soups and salad. Very attentive service and food was okay. The soups were not really all that great in my opinion. And the hot Irish coffee I got was barely bland also. Maybe my taste buds are going. The salad is really good along with a breadsticks and the to go salad at the end was a nice touch.
The service was great, the food not so.Little salid dressing on the salad. Little sauce on either of our pasta dishes. We both had shrimp dishes but the shrimp were under cooked. We won't be back to this franchise. The Olive Garden in Huntsville is MUCH better!!
Excellent service very nice waitress. Some of the workers seem like they could use a vacation that's all I'm gonna because I don't wanna be to negative the place was nice and our waitress was very nice and helpful.Their food is a little on the salty side tho.
