We stopped in to El Tri to check out a new Mexican Restaurant in Conroe.This Tex-Mex food was subpar at best. The tostadas that came with the ceviche were overcooked making them impossible to chew without cutting your mouth. The queso was nothing more than heated up Velveeta cheese. Our server was nowhere to be found throughout our dining experience which would have been understanding if we were not her only customers. We had to flag down another waitress for napkins and extra chips. The charge for a shared ceviche, 2 beers, and a queso was $40+. El Tri does not serve margaritas, wine, liquor and has an incredibly limited beer selection.

Wow! Color and more color attack your eyes is a very vibrant collage of hand painted walls, floors, and ceiling. Great food too.

The server was terrible. Definitely needs more training in customer service. She wasn't rude, but she was not personable. Doesn't catch on to key server roles. Our drinks were empty majority of the time. I ordered fajitas with no onion, and informed her it was an allergy. When I received my food, it was on a bed of extra onions and no peppers that fajitas traditionally come with. She never provided me tortillas with my fajitas and I couldn't get her attention the rest of the time because she wouldn't look my way. Other servers saw me trying to get her attention, but did not assist. By the time my table was finished eating, she came by. She asked me what was wrong, I said I need tortillas. She then went to go get them, but I ask for to go boxes since my table had already finished eating. She did not apologize at all. The food was okay. There are definitely better restaurants nearby that provide better service and food, so there is nothing about this one that stands out from the rest. Her performance was disappointing and could definitely use some more training on how to be a server.
Came here for the first time the atmosphere was really fun the staff extremely nice I got the bean and cheese pupusa it was delicious my hubby got the beef enchiladas and they were so good I wanna go back just to get that plate. This place is definitely worth trying if your thinking about it
