I'd seen great reviews and heard good things for quite a while before we finally made it over to try them out. I think the entire staff said hi or acknowledged us at some point during our visit. The portions are large, the food is hot and delicious, the staff is awesome, and its a fun place to check out. We will definitely be back to try new things. We enjoyed two servings of chips with salsa and queso blanco, a cheeseburger, onion rings, a taco salad with very flavorful beans and fluffy rice, a kids breakfast plate with bacon, extra bacon instead of an egg, and two (not so) mini pancakes. Can't wait to go back and try more!
The Texas Cafe was absolutely outstanding! I went with an intention to try their world famous burgers and got knocked out of the park! The burger was juicy and savory, the lettuce, tomatoes and onions were fresh and crisp, the cheese was a beautiful melt in your mouth perfection and the mayo and mustard on top of the bun just pulled the burger all together. It was stunning. This place ought to be the Number One burger place for how astonishing it is. Don't even think about it, just go!
Great food, great service and a wholesome family atmosphere
This was our first dine in experience at Compadre’s and we had a great experience! We tried a couple different dishes; the chimichanga and the steak finger dinner. Loved both, and the sweet tea was amazing! The mashed potatoes were heavy on the garlic his trip, but otherwise good. Great portions so had to save trying the chocolate pie for our next trip.
The food was delicious and not greasy at all. We also enjoyed excellent service and a great atmosphere. We will definitely return.
This was our first time here. The atmosphere was very laid back and welcoming. We order the eggs with grits and biscuits with gravy. We also order some breakfast tacos. All of it was delicious. Our waitress Leslie was amazing. She was very knowledgeable with the menu and treated us like we were having breakfast at her home. We can't wait to come back and try their lunch!! We saw the burgers go by looking so delicious and huge!
PROS: GREAT PRICES. Relaxing & homie atmosphere.All of the fan favorite comfort foods. Southern Sweet Tea served over ice in a big ol' mason jar. Attentive &friendly staff.CONS: There are none!
