I wanted to like it more, as there are some very good things about this spot. Nice staff, clean interior for sitting to eat your food. My burger was good, because the bun and fixings were fresh. The meat had no flavor at all. Fries were very good, as they were very freshly cooked, and a good amount served. TA allows me a 1-5, and I would honestly, based on this burger, give them a 3.5.. The prices are good. I would definitely return, but would get the daily specials, which ranged from fried chicken , shrimp, fish and chicken fried steak, depending on the day you are there. Prices for those are really good, too. If I am in Conroe I would stop by for the daily special, but would not travel here for the burgers.
Wanted to try someplace new for lunch and took to TripAdvisor for guidance. Chicken Fried steak with mashed potatoes with a salad was the Wednesdy special and it proved a good choice. The people were very nice, the atmosphere was cozy and the lunch was enough for me and dinner for my wife. All in all, a successful choice.
Old style, family restaurants has a special place in my heart. A family owned business is good for the community. The food I ordered wasn't the best but it was edible. I enjoyed the experience more than anything. Their menu is really big, so you maybe able to fine something you like. I will definitely go back, and try other options before I give it a a 4 ⭐ or take one away. I ate a big burger ? I think that's what is was called. I would only suggest the burger to have some seasoning on it maybe some garlic, or Lipton onion mix mixed into the meat would be awesome.
Sadly, the quality of the food here has drastically lowered since management changed. We discovered Burger Boy years ago and have had many great meals from there. We've treated a lot of family members to their delicious burgers and side dishes and catered we've parties with their food. Now, the burger patties are paper thin and flavorless. We will probably not be going back again.
Great "hole in the wall" burger joint.Freshest ingredients and hot, fresh fries.Delicious and thick milkshakes.Definitely a must visit place for an excellent burger.
Pretty good food, very fast and affordable. Not a super fancy place but that is ok. It seemed clean enough.
Wish this place were closer to us, but it’s worth the 20 minute drive. Yeah, being on Conroe’s east side it’s on the “wrong side of the tracks”, and the inside probably hasn’t had an update since it opened in 1981. But it’s the only place we can still get a delicious, giant, old fashion flat-top griddled burger on griddle-toasted buns, and at an old fashion price... $4.69. This is old school, folks, and it doesn’t get any better.
Burger Boy is one of those "Little Hole" in the wall restaurants that has great food. Prices are reasonable, food is delicious and with a great variety. Owners are always friendly and welcoming. They also have daily specials that are the best! Give them a try, I believe you'll like their food.
Very good food. Nothing fancy, but certainly tasty food.
Burger Boy is great, you can't go wrong with the Big Boy burger. The Gyros On Pita Bread is also really good. Their fries are always good and i find myself getting a milkshake at least half of my visits here.
