As a person who frequents The Woodlands location I will say the food is absolutely amazing but the service is awful. Only half of our order was brought out and I had to go back the the front twice to get the rest of my order including my mimosas flight that I finally received after I had already finished half of my food I had to sit and wait at the bar while the rest of my food got cold bc they claimed to be busy ( when I walked in at 11:30 am, where was one couple ordering ahead of me no one behind me and 3/4 of the inside dining room completely empty. I’ve been there on mothers day, that’s what I can busy. ) It would make much more sense to do traditional mimosas flights like the other location rather than having to blend the frozen ones if they can’t keep up with the demand at brunch.
Still our go to place on special occasions Mother’s Day afternoon Outstanding service and customer service was spot on as always Food cooked to perfection and very large servings Never pass up a chance to visit the Conroe airport location
Black Walnut Cafe, Conroe Airport8/10 ⭐I haven't always been a fan because my first order here was the chicken fried steak which always seems to be oversalted.HOWEVER!The other dishes have been great. The fish & chips or the brisket burger that's pictured and don't get me started on the meatballs!Plus it's the only place in the area that has a beer mimosa on the menu ?.Enjoy the patio overlooking the runway as planes take off.I'm still not a big fan of counter order service but they move pretty quickly here and it's an enjoyable experience.

Great food and wide variety to choose from. Only complaint is the line and time waiting to order. Normally only one cashier and moves at a snails pace. Other than that, great place to eat and watch the planes/helicopters.
Few places will measure up to the quality of food you will eat here. Try the pancakes. I had blueberries added to mine and I would go back just for those and the bacon. You order and pay up front but the service is still great at your table. Inside and outside dining options with a view of the runway are a cool bonus.
Went in for lunch while in Conroe. Interesting that it is located on top floor of the private airport. They have a very good menu with good choices for everyones taste. You do order at counter and they will bring out your food. Place is very clean and nice views of the private plane leaving. Have a nice patio area as well. Our food was excellent. I got the Black Walnut salad which was very fresh, with spring mix and the other toping as well. Dressing was excellent. My husband got the roast beef sandwich which he said was excellent. Would come agin if in the area, they were only open till 3 pm on Saturday.
The food is great. The ambiance is cool. The prices are reasonable. The services are professional and prompt. Place is very clean.
I will definitely be back again! Came here with my boys and my brother and his family the day after Christmas. The food was really good! A little interesting since it's order and sit, then wait for your food to be brought to you, but it is what it is. I hope next time we come we get to see planes taking off and landing.
