Came to get dinner with my boyfriend around 9. Granted that this is 30 minutes before their kitchen closes, the service was still awful. We ordered to go so that we didn't bother the staff too much, being so close to closing. We ordered 3 burgers, the mac-and-cheese brisket balls, and the apple pie slammer. The thing that bothered us the most was that the slammer wasn't even in the bag. When we came back to get it they were frustrated with us and didn't put the ice cream in with it. A picture of the pie is posted below, because it is a mess. When we got home to eat, the food was cold, and so quickly put together that the "sauted onions" were raw. I would say that, if they were warm, the mac-and-cheese balls would have been good. The rest if the service as a whole was meh at best. I feel like they were praying on the fact that it was late and we couldn't complain. All in all, if you go to willies don't order to go. And if you do make sure to look through the bag throughly.
Nice place to enjoy a meal at a decent price. This place was suggested to me by my friend, Robert Seegar, in regards to their oyster sandwiches and homemade onion rings. I went there and service was alittle spotty at first, but Cory came to the rescue to take my takeout order. Cory was detailed, professional and very courteous. He took my order thanking me afterwards with a genuine smile. The onion rings are very good and worth the price. The French fries were okay. The shrimp poboy was tasty but small compared to a true shrimp poboy. The shrimp were large and fresh but only a few of them since sandwich was small. I did enjoy the meal, but highly suggest they make the sandwiches bigger. I guess it's nice being in College Station, Texas compared to Dallas or Washington, D.C. ENJOY!
I came here on 2/22/22, National Margarita Day and we had an amazing time! Our server made our experience so much better! If I were you I would 100% ask for her on your next visit, Madison D.! She has an amazing personality and got our food in a quickly manner! She killed it! She made Willies feel like home :) I would definitely come back again, especially because of the friendly and exceptional waitstaff and delicious food!
One of my favorite places to eat when visiting College Station, the food is great, very reasonably priced, and good sized portions. But I have to say that the service and personality of our waitress Madison made the dining experience that much better!! She was wonderful and made some very delicious recommendations ? Definitely check this place out, very diverse menu and has something for everyone.
I’ve always said the server can make or break your dining experience and Tasha proved me right. Our food was definitely good but she made the whole experience even better. Very attentive & sharp. I wish my employees were as friendly as she is! Chicken friend steak was as good as advertised too! Thank you Willies and thank you Tasha! (And thank you willies for Tasha…lol) ?
Amazing place my server was amazing recommended we got a sampler to snack on and be able to try everything since it was our first time and that just might be my new go to meal!
I had a very busy day today and arrived in College Station around 3 pm starving form not eating all day and driving 250 miles. I decided to have a cheat meal and get Willie's for a late lunch. I am glad that I did. I ordered a Shrimp Po Boy for my main and had to try their Boudin Balls and Gumbo. Since I am a Cajun Chef, I will never turn down those two items when available. I ordered the food to go. the staff was very friendly and the GM Jason was fantastic. He welcomed me and assisted with my order. Once I arrived at my Hotel, The food hot and fresh ! I couldn't eat it all but it was spot on. The Boudin had great flavor, only thing missing was some tabasco ;). the Gumbo had a great flavor and a dark roux like I prefer. The Shrimp Po Boy was great as well nice size Shrimp. The only thing missing from the PoBoy was tomato and pickles. (I forgot to tell them). I will definitely be back and highly recommend that you stop buy for some great grub and fantastic staff. Thank you Jason.
I never do this but I felt the need to! A friend told my to come here and said it was a great place and good atmosphere. WILLIES DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We had a wonderful young waitress by the name of Charlie. She made the experience so much better. The food was out of this world! I can assure you I will be back! ALL AROUND GREAT PLACE!!
Stopped at Willies on recent trip to College Station. Food was good as usual and atmosphere was very welcoming. Cold Shiner Bock was delicious and our server Jake was excellent. enjoyable visit.
We ate at Willie's recently when visiting our son in college there. Food was excellent and the service was great. Our server, Jake, did an excellent job and made sure we had everything we needed . I hope he is there next time we visit.
