I ordered the shrimp taco and the Korean fried rice tacos. About 5-6$ each. I'm sure velvet taco is good but I felt compelled to share my experience. I don't normally do reviews tooThe tortilla wasn't homemade, probably factory made and not even warm served. Even more I don't think it was toasted, probably taken straight from the bag like my college day chicken wraps.The shrimp were spot on and seasoned, probably accurate to the rest of the reviews hereThe pork was room temp, not cold or warm. Dry so much so that the shredded pork just gets stuck in your teeth.The avocado served on the tacos were brown and slimy. The lime and lemon garnishes near the soda machine were dry and dehydrated, had a white skin over it because it was dry.I only tried one of two unrefridgerated Salas, I don't think it's a house salsa and it's just Cholula sauce bottled.I had to eat my tacos on a paper towel plate because the food isn't served with plates.Sorry y'allThe cousin I was with was also underwhelmed with his tacos
Love this place! I have been to Velvet Taco locations in Dallas and Austin but the service at this location (College Station) was outstanding! Penelope was our server, and she was so friendly and helpful. She recommended the chicken and waffle taco, which I hadn't had before, and it was AMAZING. I also loved the loaded tater tots. Great food, great service - cannot recommend enough!
Velvet taco has quickly become one of my favorite places in town. Their variety of tacos is great and you can just taste the wholesomeness of the ingredients in each bite. My favorites are the salmon, Korean fried rice, and picnic chicken. I would eat here everyday if I could haha. On top of the food the management is just amazing, they’ll listen to you if you have any problems and are always happy to serve! Go eat here, and give the elotes a try if you’re wanting something new!
KUDOS to PENELOPE—This was my family's first time visiting the Velvet Taco, and we weren't sure what to expect.Penelope---was our server---And WOW, not only is she a gorgeous college student---she was absolutely AMAZING. Penelope was super patient with us... It was our first time, and we had no earthly idea what to order. Penelope helped us select our tacos, sides, and drinks.OMG! “T” is for Taco...YUM, YUM, YUM, YUM!!! Everything PENELOPE recommended was to die for...The Margaritas, Beer Battered Cauliflower Taco, and Elote are NOW our FAVORITES along with the Velvet Taco---such a cool name... Both the restaurant and our server PENELOPE!Thank you so much Penelope for making our first visit so memorable! Everything was absolutely delicious!Note: For y'all who don't like cauliflower---like me...I was initially skeptical about this cauliflower taco---but don't be fooled; it's SCRUMPTIOUS! I can't wait to order this again! I wish I had one right now to eat...LOL
Not only does the food transcend the eater to a velvety heaven, the management is accommodating and generous, serving costumers with a kindness as warm as the queso.
So disappointed. Ordered delivery and everything was opened. Got 3 orders of the corn and they forgot all the chips along with stuffing all the containers so full they busted open and leaked everywhere also very disappointed the shoved all the tacos in one small container so all the fillings and sauces are completely mushed up gross. Just really upset that my $40 worth or corn and 3 tacos are in worse condition thank Taco Bell
Chicken Taco, Cuban Pig, & Green Chili pork taco were delicious. Didn’t like the Picnic taco. The Rotisserie Chicken was good in it but the potato salad ruined the Picnic Taco. Also the tater tots with egg, cheese & bacon was good. Friendly staff, clean, and fast service. Good food for fast food. Recommend this place.
Amazing amazing food. I could eat there every day!! Staff is polite, restrooms are clean, and you can watch them making your food which is really cool!

We clearly asked for no bacon but still they had it in the tater tots:(We love the tots but this is the second time we bought it home to find bacon !!I wish they would be a little more careful while Packing orders. Would never order this again
