the interior is adorable! i love all the comfy chairs and couches and eclectic art! however that is really where the appeal of this "coffee" shop ends. I understand having off days, but the barista that took my order seemed like she would rather be doing literally anything else- zero eye contact, much less a smile. my order was simple- iced americano with almond milk. idk what i got but it was NOT an americano, which in my opinion should be difficult to mess up. i haven't tried the food, but i can't imagine ever going back out of my own free will.
Sweet Eugene’s is the ONLY place to go for a relaxed, eclectic, comfortable cafe experience in College Station. My family and I have been constant customers since 1995 and it has become a weekly (sometimes more frequently!) mecca for us to work, study, meet friends, play games, and genera enjoy ourselves.
Homey coffee shop with a lot of character, conveniently located in College Station. Friendly and energetic staff, and a good selection of hot and cold beverages as well as various small food options. Fast and reliable wifi and a decent amount of outlets makes this is pleasant and effective place to work for a while. Beware as some tables are wobbly and this place gets very crowded in the evenings while classes are in session at TAMU. Typically open early in the morning until late in the evening
An excellent assortment of delicious pastries, cookies, and quiche. Comfy sofas/chairs to sit and enjoy the delights while sipping your coffee. Love this place!
Sweet Eugene's is the most environmentally chill coffee shop I have been to. I bring people from an hour away just to check out the establishment. If you are in college station for a visit, you gotta stop by for a solid experience.
We had the Mayan Latte, the Red Velvet Latte, the Snickers Latte, the hot chocolate with whip, a chocolate donut, and the Nutella cheesecake. All were so good, and the ambiance was so welcoming. Great hangout spot.
Nice place, relaxed.Baked goods like bread, cookies and cakes.
It seems that after all these years of people complaining about how slow they are in making crepes, they STILL are! OMG! It’s obvious that their money comes from coffee because there is NO way that they could stay in business with how slow they are in crepe making. I know at one point they only had one crepe pan, they may possibly have two now but it is ridiculous to have to wait close to an hour for one, just one crepe!!! I’ll stick with Sweet Paris Crêperie. I did give Sweet Eugene’s another chance but NO more!
What a great place to hang out. Laid back with coffee and deserts.
This place has character and panache. The drinks cost about the same Starbucks to a little less, but you get something made locally. I really like the fact they support local artist, and it adds to the vibe of the restaurant. The drinks are well made. I would like the option for a larger to go container. I think that is my only real suggestion. This has been a great staple since I was a kid, and it’s nice to know it still brings the same quality to the table as it did twenty years ago.
