Delicious food and coffee!! Friendly & helpful staff!! Welcoming and pleasant atmosphere!! Country feel with modern recipes!!
Great service, portions, and price. Beautiful location and the menu has many great concepts. This is a must try when visiting CStat. I will be back to try other menu items.I had the beignets, they were beautiful, but dens (a sauce would have been a good balance for the extra density).Biscuits and gravy not that flavorful (missing savouriness/umami). Good portion, very filling.Chicken and French toast did not have a great balance between savory and sweet. Love the pepper syrup. Good portion and amazing concept.
A first-time visit for us. The menu is posted on a chalkboard and offers a good selection. We LOVED that some of the dishes offer half-sized portions, which was plenty of food for us. It would be nice if every restaurant had that option. I had the apple pie french toasted biscuits (VERY good) and my friend had the fresh berry french toasted biscuits and she enjoyed them very much also.
The shrimp and grits are incredibly creamy and the rich and savory andouille sausage gravy has the perfect amount of gentle heat!
Fantastic place, not to be missed! Hands down, One of the best brunches we have had! Their Orange juice is to die for, freshly squeezed right in front of your eyes. Everything we ordered was utterly delicious! We ordered Veggie Frittata, Avocado Toast, Berries & Cream, Grits (super yum), Cold coffee & Banana Foster. Everything was super delicious. It has to be a in your top of the list places to eat out when you visit College station!
Went here for brunch with a friend. The service was fast and the workers were friendly and extremely helpful. I appreciated the menu as I thought they had nuanced takes on classic breakfast meals. I ordered the Veggie Frittata and a side biscuit with jam. Unfortunately, the frittata was very bland. It didn't even taste as though they had basic added salt and pepper to it. The side spinach salad was very good though, as the vinaigrette dressing was light and refreshing. I must say THE BISCUIT WITH JAM WAS THE BEST THING i ate. The strawberry jam was great and the biscuit was fluffy. I personally would love to come back and try a different dish on their menu next time. Will update soon!
First time here and I am honestly impressed. I am typically skeptical of breakfast joints because usually I end up thinking I could cook something myself for a fraction of the cost. Stella’s is a different story. We came on Mother’s Day, and despite it being what I assumed was far busier than normal, the service was both quick and polite.
First time to dine here and of course we picked a busy Saturday morning. It was very busy but ran very efficient. Love the atmosphere, food was great, employees were friendly and helpful. They have their system down on the process of when you first order to finding a table quickly even though it’s packed. Highly recommend and will be back!
The food was excellent! I got the SEC and a side of home fries (the word I would use to describe the home fries is "magical"), and my husband got biscuits and gravy. He said "I won't say this is the best biscuit I've ever had, but it's the best biscuit I ever had." Oh, and he got the pecan coffee and loved it. Also, even though they were quite busy, the food was out in a very reasonable amount of time.
What a great find in Southern College Station - if you haven't been here, you should give it a try! They put a spin on French Toast by using a biscuit as the bread - fun, tasty idea (although mine was sadly under battered). The fried chicken is wonderful - cornflakes breaded, perhaps a little overdone but still delicious. Smothered in a pepper syrup (not a black pepper fan but it's not too strong). The grits were some of the best I have had - coarse, authentic, simple. Beet salad was a nice light addition. Place is charming and clean, airy and staff was very kind and fast. The coffee options were a nice surprise. Looks like they offer catering, too.
