Staff is super friendly. Fast service. Clean restrooms. Clean dining area. We had the beef fajita and the chili pork tacos. Both had great flavor. Tortillas were more like a thin flat bread due to the corn and flour mix than a traditional Mexican tortilla. Not bad just different than I was expecting. My wife and I both got margarita flights. I was talking to the bartender and they use excellent and sometimes handmade ingredients. The margaritas were too sweet for our tastes. In our opinion the best ones were the jalapeno pineapple, the strawberry and I did mostly enjoy the smoked jalapeno. The rest were a bit overly sweet. We ended up ordering a couple of the delicious jalapeno pineapple margaritas on the rocks and we really enjoy the fact that had Tajin to rim the glasses in. Tajin adds a lot of flavor to the taste of a spicy margarita. They need agave nectar to rim as well.Over all it was good and we will come back.

Thank you Mad Taco Catering for saving our last minute party. The food was fantastic and everybody loved it; almost everybody even made a plate to take home with them after the party. Your recommendations were perfect. I really thought the fajita beef would be the most popular, and it was very good, but the chili rubbed chicken stole the show; it was incredible. I was surprised by how well the warming trays worked, and recommend them. They were very inexpensive and kept the food at the perfect temperature for hours. I was also surprised by the amount of fixings (lettuce/cabbage, cheese, sauces, etc.) you supplied - more than enough. Thanks again! We will definitely use your catering services again.Pro Tip: If you're picking up the order, arrive early and enjoy a margarita at the bar while you wait.

Fortunately I had a gift card for this experience.TVs not working. My birria taco had a hair in it. Drinks super sweet and overpriced. Food is mediocre at best. Definitely would not spend my money . Take your money someone else!

First impressions are everything. My first time ever Coming to Mad Taco was such a great experience! The menu items are very diverse and creative. The food is amazing. The tamale tortilla is basically a flour taco on steroids. What I enjoyed the most was the welcoming hospitality by the staff. Mason at the front counter was a pro and guided to my taco paradise.. I recommend trying the short rib taco! Mad Taco is my new favorite taco spot fosure

I was disappointed. I expected so much more for the amount of money I spent. The shrimp taco was bland, the amount of money for the taco fries did not correlate with the amount you get. It was a sad portion and the corn was super soupy. I’ve heard so many people rave about this place but it disappointed me, especially with the price point. I wanted to like it but I didn’t.

Came here for a work lunch today and was happy to see such a nice patio. The layout, style and menu is very similar to a torchy's. The big difference here is the margarita menu and tortilla type. Mad Taco serves a warm, delicious corn/flour hybrid tortilla. Delicious, but has some faults when it comes to wet tacos piled with toppings and salsas.Service was fast and friendly and the food tasted good.I went with the Jerk Chicken and Beer Battered Fried Mahi fish taco! Yum

Grabbed a quick lunch at this restaurant today with my wife, based upon the recommendation of my daughter and her boyfriend. First off, think Torchy’s or Fuego’s—fun, fancy tacos with good, fresh ingredients. I had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken taco. It was similar to the Brushfire at Torchy’s without the heat and with a very thick, handmade tortilla (fry bread is probably a more accurate term). It was a bit smaller than the aforementioned places, but really quite good. We also had chips and queso. Have to say I wasn’t a fan—the chips are too thick and crunchy, and the queso is quite bland. Back to the positives, they have a great lineup of adult drinks and craft sodas. I really enjoyed the dewberry soda very much. Overall, we did enjoy the place and would return if the opportunity presented itself. It isn’t on par with out favorite, Torchy’s, but is a good substitute in a pinch!

In town again for Thanksgiving holiday -- this place still rocks. I wish we had a place like this in South Minneapolis (without sacrificing an entire paycheck, that is)! Takes the authentic street taco concept to the next level by adding non standard filling options without marketing it, pretentiously, as "gourmet" as happens in big cities outside Texas. Favorites this time around: pork+pumpkin and jerk chicken, but honestly everyone in my party loved what they ordered.
